I looked at that and had no idea they were that expensive even on ebay lol. I think I may have to wait a few months.
I saw a guy using some kind of svt head and 2 410hlf's in a show and it just dominated, without PA support.

nice rig- I personally would add an svt 1x15 to that rig- maybe upgrade the head later? Although the B2 is cool, I use that as a backup/rehearsal head.

I am assuming he had them running side by side.I have good news and bad news.
The good news is my SVT 2 Pro got delivered. The bad news is it goes into fault mode. I took the 6550's in to get them tested and had a cathode to grid short that took out two other tubes. UPS does it again they must have banged it around. The up side is I getting 6 more matched sovteks for ZIP

OK my modded 1960Ampeg Jet 12 bass preamp/guitar amp is completely finished and I am using it exclusively now.
This little amp is studio quality and the bass preamp tone versatility is very huge.I am very happy with it. I have more pics when I can figure out how to post more than two at a time.

yeah he had them on a raised platform maybe 2-3 feet high that ran all along the back of the stage (the stage was maybe 10-15 feet deep). He had his racked gear - head, tuner, power conditioner - sitting in the middle of either cab

the fact that he was playing the most beautiful spector I've ever seen probably helped too

Yep...it's the 6X10...and I LOVE it! Smaller than it's "bigger brother" but just as effective.....and it will, literally, make your ears bleed.....
I have a Ampeg SVP Pro,Ampeg HE410, and the Ampeg HE115, so I guess I need to be a part of the club eh?? Sign me up and PM my offical club number kind sirs!! 
I've used the SVT DI very successfully with the Portabass equipment. Very nice coloration.
