My rig, except for the 15" cab. Am I the only one with an Ampeg 212?

I have and Ampeg SVP-1500 Poweramp, and a currently non operational SVT-IIp Preamp. The SVP has the blue and orange lettering while the Preamp is a little older I think; with the bolder all white lettering.

I don't know the years of these so if anyone has any idea of year ranges let me know. I'm very curious.

I hope the Preamp is fixable. It has 3 vintage mullards in it out of a hammond I'm pretty sure.

I ran the SVP-1500 power amp for many years with the SVP-Pro preamp. I purchased the power amp when it was introduced in 1996. I think it was discontinued in 1999? I know it was still made in July of 1998 as I had it replaced under warranty. Great power amp - wish I never sold it.

The modern Ampegs of the St. Louis Music era were all made after 1985. The amps made since 1988 have a 10-digit serial number which is encoded for model, country, date, and year. The serial number can be broken down as follows:

Digits 1, 2, 3 = Model

Digit 4 = Country Code where:
U = U.K.
D = domestic U.S.
W = worldwide
Y = Europe

Digit 5 = Year where:
A = 1988
B = 1989
C = 1990, etc.

Digit 6 = Month where:
1 through 9 = January through September
0 = October
A = November
B = December

Digits 7, 8, 9, 10 = serial number

To Jazzman, I like this poweramp a lot. Every time I crank it on the lights in my kitchen start flickering. It is an old apartment building with shoddy wiring for sure.

I was thinking about get a considerably lower power poweramp for use at home for practice. I'm not sure what but I'm sure I can find a 200 watt QSC for pretty cheap.
