Just...wow. In love with the head, but I cannot find it in my area. Paired with that cab must sound like heaven (or hell haha)

I recently purchased a MiBass 2.0 and 110 cab. I need to do some tests, but I think there may be something wrong with either the amp or the cab. When used together, they have a harsh, honky midrange peak, and it doesn't seem to put out very much overall volume. I have to crank it in my living room when practicing at home by myself. At 400 watts RMS I shouldn't have to do that. I realize I am running an 8 ohm cab so output will be closer to 200-220 watts. Even so, I shouldn't have to turn it up so much. in my practice space I am running an old Acoustic head from the 70's that I've used for years that supposedly puts out 125 watts RMS. Granted I'm running it into an 8 ohm ashdown abm 410h, but it is so much louder than the Mibass 2.0 head.
I ran the Mibass head through the 410 cab in my last practice, and I had to turn the volume almost all the way up to get it the volume to the same as the acoustic head turned 1/3 of the way up. I'm going to try the acoustic head into the Mibass 110 cab and see if it still has that harsh midrange and compare volume to see if it's the cab or the amp. As far as the volume of the Mibass head, I'm not sure. Could it be that I need to run it to 4ohms? With the 110 cab, I don't think it could keep up even at practice volume. I wouldn't dream of trying to play a gig with it. and my band is not that loud. If anyone has this head and/or the Mibass 110 cab could chime in, it would be greatly appreciated. Both seem to get decent reviews, but I'm struggling with the tone and volume of it. This is my first class D micro head, and I was super excited. This thing just hasn't delivered. Could it be that it is defective?
The Bass Place, where I purchased my cab, stated that those heads had trouble running at 4 ohms and they only recommended an 8 ohm load. So, I would say that having to run into 4 ohms isn't your answer.
Supposedly The Bass Place is basing that info on customer feedback only. I've run mine with a 4 ohms load without any issues since I received it in March. It's just not a very LOUD amp. With the two Mi 10s I have, it's get loud enough for my needs but I don't know if I could say the same with the MiBass 2.0 powering only one of them....
Just repeating what I heard, I have no actual experience with that amp.

Okay so I figured out what was going on with my MiBass 2.0 head. I actually feel a little silly about it. The knobs on the front of the amp were not all tightened properly so some of them had slipped on the pot poles, and weren't in the position I thought they should have been. Adjusted them correctly to the right position, and tightened them with an allen wrench. Now I can correctly eq this thing!! It's still not the loudest at 8ohms. It gets up to volume, but I have to turn it up quite a bit to get it there.
My fan is a bit loud when I turn the amp on, but I didn't notice any hum. The fan seems to run at the same speed no matter what. I too, only notice it at idle or practice volume, but not at rehearsal volume.
How do you like the tone now?
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that. It sounds good now. It's my first Class D micro, so I may need to get used to the differences from my old Lead sled. I still may get a KXB-500, that way I could use one as a backup, and retire that old ACC head. The ACC head is 40 years old and sounds great, its just too big!!
I'm using an orange TB500 with the ashdown ABM 410 (600w), I can get a good deal on a MAG 410 (450w). Would it be worth it to add the MAG as an extra cab?
