Anyone here used both CTM and BTA?
@Novarocker
@Wasnex has posted up some excellent thoughts on how he EQ his various amps
A lot of people found the CTM set up hard yakka but I think it’s fantastic it’s just quirky
I still have my old 1998 ABM Klystrom so I’ll assume that’s more like a bTA front.
Here's what Ashdown says is the frequency response of their ABM-410H: 30Hz - 20kHzWell guys, I'm about to order a second cab to stack on top of my 410H but I can't decide between 210 or 115. Neo or Ceramic. I'm thinking 115 to add more sub bass, but I might get enough of that (the 410 isn't lacking at all) plus more consistent tone adding two more 10s.
Sway me one way or another?
Yeah the phase canceling seems to be a gamble.210 IMO, then you got something for smaller gig needs and don't have to worry about any possibility of 10s and 15s not mixing well.
I think i meant rounder not so much sub. There's times I've wanted a little more gut rumble when playing dance music and techno type stuff, reggae.Here's what Ashdown says is the frequency response of their ABM-410H: 30Hz - 20kHz
Here's what Ashdown says is the frequency response of their ABM-115H or ABM-210H: 37Hz - 2kHz
If you think you should get the 115 "to add more sub bass", then you're assuming that speaker size dictates frequency response.
Got something really cool coming to me next week
I never intended on going with a 410 by my Sweetwater guy offered it to me as a demo for 600 and couldn't pass on that. No regrets, it hits hard and handles plentyI have to admit that I used to gig an Ashdown ABM EVOIV 410 cab and it sounded pretty amazing. I sold it because I usually play in small-medium venues and I needed more portability, but the sound was impressive.

I'm leaning towards the 210hc. Didn't hear back from Ashdown yetThe 410 and 210 combo works really well for me. I can bring both cabs, just the 410, or if I want to travel light or I don't need a lot of volume I can bring only the 210, and it still feels and sounds pretty much the same to play.
Lol of course this comes outAshdown LB 2.0
LB 30 2.N
I'd love to have one LB or CTM30. But this one seems to mix the classic with some new modern features
