So since we're on the topic - does anybody know how the Sub-Harmonic works? Does it actually produce frequencies an octave below? Or does it do more of a psycho-acoustic thing, like the Peavey Kosmos stuff? My drivers, anxiously eyeing their excursion limts, want to know....

The Peavey Kosmos does produce frequencies an octave lower, doesn't it? Granted, it does do things to the high frequencies as well.

I don't mind the sub-harmonic on my ABM500, but only use it as a "thickener" and not as an effect.

How does it sound?? That's a very neat pedal

I like the sound and the versatily. It is very old school sounding. What I miss is a master volume. If you dial the gain past 9 in any of the controls, the signal is increased (which is normal). I use it with my HX Stomp, so it doesn't bother me. It also needs 18V which is not optimal in some pedalboards. Overall is a great pedal with a very good sound.

Ok so the sub Harmonic is not like the Kosmos at all. It's like... parallel blending in the sub octave to your clean signal. I kinda dig it and when you use the compressor it creates a pretty neat tone.

Played clean, then with SO at 9,12,3,and all the way. Then again with the compressor on at 12 and same 9,12,3, all the way. Then I rolled it back to noon and back to 9 and noodled around a bit.

When the Sub Octave is cranked the signal gets choppy and loses tracking but it seems to track really well in the usable ranges. I let some notes ring out so you can hear it.

Hey there Ashdown people.
Been watching this used ABM 810 for sale near me. I think it’s one of the first versions, without tweeter. It says 1200 watt. I’ve been searching about the actual specs of the cab and drivers but the info I find is very erratic. Like the 6 driver version is rated 800 instead of 900. Same on the specs of the individual BlueLine drivers; can’t find definitive rating for them.

Can someone shed me some light?
Thanks

I don't have the answers you seek but I do believe there has been two versions of the blue lines. That could factor into the difficulty of finding specs. Maybe try the UK bass forum, ashdown is far more prevalent over there.

Guess I should ask just about the overall opinion on that cab, and if you think it will handle the stated power.
