Anyone seen this? Looks like a rackmountable preamp of the CTM amps

That's the first I have seen of it. Appears to be a Little Stubby preamp IMHO.

I've been contemplating my next ashdown head. Many options look amazing. The CTMs, the little bastard 550, the abm1200... honestly I like the Shavo head too. Moreso than the Head of Doom.

Not sure if I've ever posted this here, haven't frequented the amp forums much. Had the BTA since Covid and the ABM has been a trusty amp for 8 years now.

The BTA does say 400, but it's actually a 300w version the crew wired up during the Covid shutdowns. The 300 is loud and stays clean for quite a bit, can't imagine the 400.

That is a sweet setup you got there. Is that a PF115 or a PF210?

Thanks guys! It's a 210. It's got surprising volume and punch for its size. I will admit I'm curious to hear it through a big cab though.

I haven't weighed the head, but it's kinda funny that it's about twice the weight of the cab.

I believe the BTA amps use the same (solid state) preamp as the ABM EVO III heads.

Here's a thread you may like: Ashdown ABM v BTA 400 - Amps and Cabs - Basschat Summary: the BTA 400 and EVO III or similar. The BTA has more heft.
