Same here. I still own a Markbass NY604 and it's a cool cubic cab but I simply don't use it anymore as my One10 seems to be pushing at least the same volume of air weighing twice less!

And as it was mentioned before these 10" drivers are def not for Marcus sort of tone, I've received a new Spector Forte SS with double coil pickups and using it in all-passive mode (kill switch to bypass preamp) with One10 sounds very dark but yet defined and punchy. I am really looking to sell my NY604 cab and buy another One10.

So glad the first One10 finally made it through Russian customs! Your perseverance in not giving up and waiting until it could reach you instead of getting a refund from BF really paid off. Congrats on the One10, and future One10.

It's an awesome cab. Played a cocktail bar gig with mine last Saturday night. I have a tophat in it so I can pole mount it on a small pole; it's a great way to take full advantage of the "personal bass monitor" type set-up. At the risk of sounding like a "you should do what I do" guy, I recommend the tophat/pole mount option. $60.

I also used my Big Baby 2 in a Sat. afternoon outdoor gig; I hadn't been using it routinely since I got the Four10. It sounded great, and I was reminded of how truly awesome it is. I think for me I'll be using the Four10 for Jazz Bass type gigs ( I am playing a lot of jazz-blues these days) and the BB2 with my more modern-sounding basses, and for outdoor stuff. BB2 of course also sounds great with a Jazz bass, but the Four10 is a perfect retro-ish sound cab. And of course, I will continue to use the One10 for a wide variety of smaller gigs, of which there seem to be many. The biggest discovery of my short time on TB has been Barefaced cabs (Sire basses would be the 2nd best discovery). I used to be content with average gear until I came here. Oh Talkbass, you are a cruel mistress!

Pluto, I appreciate your insights, thanks! I just realized that I have two identical basses with different pickups and the one with two singles sounds just right through my One10 but the one with humbuckers sounds too dark. Maybe it's also because of TH350 tone but I feel that I may need smth just a bit brighter.

I can see a hum bucker into a TH350 being a little dark for the 10" tone, depending on your objective.

The 110 on the SM is a pretty nice match. A few have stated that recently. The other 12" cabs work okay too but the SM seems to be the best suited for combining and getting a blend of tone and output. The bigger boxes like the SC and BB2 are a bit overwhelming for the 110.

Speaking of combining tones, nostatic brought his Hathor 1203 over yesterday, and we both liked how it paired with the BB2. The Hathor had a bit more upper mid grind and the BB2 filled out the deeper lows. It's not the grail of tone, but neither of us expected them to work together as well as they did.

I had forgotten that there was overlap in time when I held a SM and a 1203. I should've thought about trying that combo. I recal the 1203 feeling like a midpoint between the SM and the SC but too alike with the SM to keep both.

I am thinking of either SM or SC. I need one cab with a different tonal range from One10 but as light and compact as possible.

All of that.

I know I am going to get a BF 10 cab, and either an SM or BB2. With those cabs I can cover every tone I need in schleppable form. I have to wait until the end of the summer, so I can agonize over what BF cab to get for a few months.
