I forgot to mention how well this was packed for its weekend trip across the Atlantic: I've been receiving electronics via mail order since 1971, and this shipment has to be tied for the top spot among the top 3 most well-packed items I have ever received. Multiple layers of protection and super well-protected corners. The package could sustain a fair degree of damage in transit (mine did not), and still deliver your cab in showroom condition.

The sound: I couldn't be more pleased. More and more my Reiner Studio1200 is becoming the inseparable paring with the Two10. It sounds SO good at ANY volume. I can seriously get the authoritative tubey sound I like (like I would get from my SVT or V4b through my 810), or a 1970's SS sound, or a modern SS sound .. or combinations of all of these at once .. mostly all just from within the hands, and also things like soloing different pickups. The Studio1200 sounds better through this cab than anything else I've hooked it to. It's just great.

The people: the Barefaced folks were very interactive and took care of me from initial inquiry to knocking pictures off the wall.

I have no affiliation with this outfit. Well, I didn't. But I sure will from now on.

I would love to know how different the 210 sounds as compared to a pair of One10s. I haven't looked closely but are the internal volumes/low end extension different? I love that little stack of nuclear dice. My experience is analagous to yours with the 210-the pair of One10s sounds amazing (but different) with my 3 heads (Walkabout, D-800 and GB Shuttle 3.0).

I've not played with my Two10 in the venue setting you've described so I can't honestly say yes. With PA support. With two guitars and a "lively drummer!!" it sounds like you might be able to get away with it but you'd be at the limits. @map34157 any feedback on this based on your real world experience?

Sorry for the late response. I'm currently vacationing in Cancun :)

To me the the Two10 and SC are very similar in volume. The Two10 dirty's up at high volume while the SC remains clear. Through a decent PA I think both would be enough for the setup you are proposing.

I decided to sell my 110/210 rig because my pair of SC's were more than enough for my needs (I only keep gear that I use regularly). However, I ended up selling both SC's when I picked up a Super Twin. IMO the ST is the best one cab solution. In my band it's usually just the vocals going through our PA. So I have to compete with two guitarists and a heavy handed drummer. I've never had any issues being heard.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd have purchased the ST first and be done with it. My opinion of course.

Just left work to intercept the FedEx guy and sign for this beauty. Very well packed & how do you beat 1 day shipping from Great Britain to the USA??? I love how this cab turned out with the black grill cloth. The folks at Barefaced have been excellent to work with from the start. I am very impressed with their customer service!

Unfortunately, I had to go back to work so all I got to do was unpack and briefly admire it. Now the torture starts... I am out of town tonight so I won't be able to fire it up until later tomorrow.:crying:
My wife said I am like a kid that got an awesome gift for Christmas, but can't play with it because there are no batteries.:bawl: Torture!!

Something Alex said the other day gives me a clue. He said that two SC's will sound just a little deeper than one Super Twin because the two SC boxes between them have a greater internal volume that the ST's single box, if I have understood Alex's remarks correctly. If true, then shouldn't Two One10's be just a bit deeper than a single Two10 since the box of the Two10 has slightly less internal volume than the combined space of two One10's? That's kind of the opposite of what I'd have thought before hearing Alex chime in; I thought it would have been based on the size of one box-- that 2 smaller would be less deep than 1 larger. Live and learn.

It's mostly the internal volume per woofer that matters and a good indicator to that is the external volume (bearing in mind that the bigger the box, the smaller the percentage lost to wall thickness, baffle recess, etc).

It's all pretty marginal differences which are usually easily compensated by a tiny tweak of the bass EQ but if you're curious multiply all the dimensions and compare the results!

I am in the same boat-- I have a One10, Four10, and Big Baby 2. And, I still want a SM and a Two10. Not gonna get them any time soon, though. I am blessed with cabinet riches, and yet.... sigh.

But, the SM would go great with the BB2 and the Two10 would be great stand-alone or combined with the Four10... I still don't have the "Big" Barefaced rig, just three small or medium Barefaced rigs. BB2+ SM or Four10+Two10 would be that big rig.

I have discovered one 'disadvantage' to having a Big Twin that I didn't anticipate: it simply won't fit in the trunk of one of my cars, and to get it to fit in the trunk of another car, I had to remove the toolkit from the trunk lid liner, otherwise I couldn't close the lid. (This is the cab inside a padded protective cover.) I also have a station wagon, and of course it will fit in there just fine; but then it's visible from outside the car. I'm kind of paranoid when I carry any musical gear in a motor vehicle, and I like it to be completely out of sight. I'm very reluctant to leave a motor vehicle with gear inside parked anywhere for more than a few minutes unattended, and then only when the gear is in the trunk and not visible from outside. (After setup at Fillmore West on Valentine's Day 1976, we had to park five or six blocks away in the neighborhood and my truck was broken into during the gig, but of course all the equipment was INSIDE the Fillmore at the time so nothing was lost but a window.)

I bought my cab used from @kimmyt because Barefaced cabs are rarer than hen's teeth around here (the San Francisco Bay Area) and that was all that was available. In an ideal world, I should have bought two BB2s. But I have to say that otherwise the Big Twin has exceeded my wildest expectations -- it is simply amazing!

I don't like leaving my gear for all to see in the back of my car either. I used to think if anyone wanted to run down the road with a 100lb cab on their back then good luck to them but neo cabs have changed the risk factors! I try not to stop anywhere when carrying my gear.

That's a solid drive. I did a run from Geiranger to Oslo. That's a dedicated fan, right there. Were they touring with Napalm Death? Those two just did a show together in Hollywood pretty recently.

It was just Melvins, though I would have liked to see Napalm Death again.

The super 15 pictured seems to have five ports as opposed to six on the cab I posted, but I don't know if that's significant. Apparently, the super twin I own supersedes it anyway, so I guess it's all good :)

There is a Gen 1 and Gen 2 set of cabs. Perhaps therein lies the difference. I'm not sophisticated enough to know. Just swinging wild.
