I, too, would like to know your thoughts about the Super Bassman with the Four10, when you have had a chance to chekck it out for yourself.
Count me in. The SB is incredible through two Trace 1153 15s. The weight makes it not worth taking to small or medium gigs. Instead I opt for the D800 and a TecAmp s212. I would love to replace the Trace cabs with a light weight 410 or a 212 like the Super Twin.
I've been getting familiar with my Four10 using only my Kustom KXB500, as it is the most linear and least "flattering" amp I know of have. Also I've been getting to know my new L2500, so it's quite a bit of new. I have limited space in my practice area, but I'll move things around tonight to try the SVT II and SB300 with the Four10.

Honestly, I haven't played either the One10 or 210AV's enough to tell you anything meaningful. Almost all of my gigs are loud enough that neither of these would handle them. For a while now, all I use is a GK MBF800 and the mighty SuperTwin. It's probably all I'll ever really need! (I shudder to think what kind of gig the ST wouldn't handle!)
It will be in a couple of weeks, but I will go with the SB300 first then. Looks like Smeet will beat me to it but I can't imagine that it will sound anything less than awesome. I still have not found the volume limits for the Four 10 yet, it just gets louder and smoothly grindier the more you crank it. Quite amazing really, I have never used a speaker quite like it as I have gone for neutrality in the past. I just love it
. Starting to doubt whether I do need a Two 10 or Four 10 on top of it. I do have a Fender neo 810 and a Berg 215 sitting around, both great but they don't add the character that the BF does.Hi Eshalon, I'm also in NZ and have been thinking about getting a two10. Hi Stephen I got mine for $1299 before prices went up. I also got the silver grille and slip cover though. So after paying just under $300 for custom fees it all came out at just under $1700 total.
Hi Stephen, it cost me $2041 including custom fees to import my Four 10 into NZ if that is any help. I did get a slightly cheaper price for buying on of the first batch though.
Thanks for letting me know guys! Around $1700 all up for the two10 is pretty damn tempting. Also, i'm going to be in the States for work soon so tempted to buy a Mesa D-800 (i've heard good things about it paired with BF cabs) and bring it back as carry on. Will be 800nzd cheaper than in NZ haha

It annoys me a little bit that the SB is 24.5 inches wide and slightly overhangs my NV610 cab which is 24 inches wide. Same too with the four10 according to the specs. That half inch is noticeable.

I can relate. I am too OCD to tolerate a head "dog earing" beyond the edges of the cab.
Hi again, Matt, if you look at post #2339 in this thread I have posted a photo of my Four 10 with the SB300 sitting on it. The overhang at the side is hardly obvious, and I hadn't considered it until you mentioned it, although there is a small overhang at the back as the Four 10 is relatively shallow. The photos do not do the cab justice as the flash makes the black metal grille disappear - in reality it looks really cool although you may prefer the aesthetics of the silver grille with your aggie and Fender heads. Me, I don't like clashing grille cloths so the black metal is kind of "neutral" for me with all the different heads.Lots of fellow kiwis checking in tonight! I'll admit that there are 2 reasons I am interested in possibly getting a Fender Super Bassman:
1) (hopefully) great tube amp sound pairing with the Barefaced Four10, which sounds great with my hybrid tube amp and is reported (@tombowlus) to be an awesome sound paired-- all tube plus these 10" drivers.
2) The Super Bassman would look really effing awesome on top of my silver-cloth-grill Four10.
The Super Bassman is phenomenal. It's the bestest. It sounds incredible through every cab I've used it with.

Totally agree Super Bassman would look awesome with the silver cloth as it is a great match to the Fender cloth that is used. My problem is that I also have Orange, Trace Elliott and Ampeg tube heads which would not look so good and hence my preference for the black grille. It just grates with me to put the V4B on top of a Fender style cloth, looks far better with a neutral black grille. Plus I prefer the extra protection of metal. All this of course imo and ymmv.
I'll say, I wasn't as big a fan of my all tube Buster with the 210 as I was with the BB2 and SC. It wasn't bad, but I expected it to be better than the 12's with the 10's.
I have been considering my next move speaker wise for over a year and been following just three threads in particular. Barefaced, Bergantino, and MAS. All different flavors of good, I know. I have been playing Berg 12's for several years and am very fond of the tones I'm getting. Mostly from AE 112 and 212 and both together. I also use a pair of EX cabs for when I host jams so as not to risk my 1st call cabs.
I had moved here from an Aguilar GS112 pair. And continue to use them occasionally. I am planing on selling them as well as a couple of older Schroeders, 410 slant cab and a 15L as well as a Sunn 412.
All told by the time I offload all of them I should be set to be get at least one, maybe two new cabs.
From the above builders. For the sake of this thread, could you users of BF cabs that have moved too them from Bergantino cabs please compare and contrast what you were using, which model you were using and which you went with and the (I assume) Pros and or cons of your switch and please give a brief description of your tone goals.
I play Blues gigs, at medium to loud volume jump to Texas hard stuff. Classic Rock the usual loud wear your plugs levels. Small to medium sized Jazz duo/ trio and larger stuff with both Upright and Electric fretless. And corporate loud Funk Rock ballroom type gigs. So I need to cover a lot of territory toneally as well as sonically.

The Buster would be one amp where I could understand you saying this, and possibly agree. Mesa all tube heads have always had, to my ears, a more transistor like quality to their tone rather than "tube like". Not knocking them at all, just that they tend to be very tight and controlled in their voicing IME. Not quite the more euphonious tone you can get with other tube heads. Again, IME and YMMV - not trying to be contentious.
I have not "moved" to the Barefaced Four 10 from my Bergantino NV215, rather I have kept the Berg and frankly have no intention to get rid of it. Both different shades of wonderful: the Bergantino cleaner with a wider range and possibly a bit more directional in its delivery; the Barefaced has a wonderful character, is lighter and as loud and at the moment it is making me play (I hope) better.
