Finally, I placed deposit for another One10
Makes a mighty mini-rig for me. I'm just loving its form factor and minimalist philosophy
Tone too of course.

I wouldn't call the SM low end wide. It's a tight, punchy little box. The BB2 is a bigger box, thus has bigger lows. I wouldn't make my choice bassed on 4 vs 5 strings. I'd base it on how loud you need to be. I didn't have my 5 string when I owned the SM so I'd have to speculate on the performance but I'd bet a fiver through the SM would be fine unless you were trying to some big doom sound.
In case with Bareface I feel the same excitement as though I ordered a new bass guitar. I also know that I need SM too but it's for later. Not now![]()
I hear ya. I really want all of the action figures in the set.

Ah yeah...to be honest I've been thinking about this already LOL I guess Mesa D800 can run @ 2 Ohm?....then you'll want a 2 Ohm capable head to run all 3 simultaneously.....just for shock and awe![]()

So... This is just idle curiosity (at least for now), but how would the pairing of a Four10 and a Big Twin II work?
All this Barefaced gas we seem to be sharing and spreading to each other. The last thing I need is another speaker now as the room is full of them, but since receiving my Four 10 I have become obsessed with trying them all......sigh.... a familiar pattern which the wife unfortunately is starting to recognise.
On a slightly different note the comment was recently made in another thread that since Alex's super drivers have such a great excursion and remain clean you do not get to hear the typical warning sounds of speaker stress through farting out. Thus it is easier to burn out a voice coil as you realise too late that damage is being done. Can't really see it myself as the speakers have a huge power rating but food for thought. Made me pause for a second until my Barefaced gas reaffirmed itself and I started drooling over their website again drool![]()
