Just for grins and giggles I did a lot of mixing and matching of these cab last night and I have to say that they all play really nicely together. They are all great sounding on their own. The Hathor and 210 sounded the best to me because it seemed to mix the 210 thump with the Hathor cleanness really well. I also hooked all 3 up together just for fun and turned it up pretty loud....unnecessary loudness that could break windows, but it sure was fun

how does the two10 + one10 stack up?? i know the subject has been probably beat half to death but id like to hear your take

It actually sounds great. Really thick and "weighty" (if that makes sense). I have actually gigged the 210 / 110 setup before and it worked out great. No complaints at all.

I was actually testing that today with mid level volume at home. I really like how @CJL puts it, it adds a bit more heft to it. To my ears no change in highs and mids, just more in your face.

Here's a sonic comparison of the Two10 and H1203. Same head (Mesa WD800), same bass, same nut behind the wheel. First gig with the Two10 so eq isn't quite dialed in for what I typically go for:

Mine are cloth too, will post pictures this evening. I dont have covers but haven't really worried about mine although I'm not using public transportation. One good thing, the cats ignore the cab completely, unlike my rat fur cabs from the past.

A random question for One10 users:

Has anyone used it for anything other than bass? eg. vocals, music, guitar? How does it perform?
(I like gear that is duel functional, if it can double up as a vocal monitor in a pinch that's a plus for me)

When I started out playing we used to use a Peavey Minx 8" bass combo for vocals. It worked tolerably. With some hefty EQ the One10 does pretty well with full-range music, considering the lack of a tweeter - the first way we tested the prototype driver was clamping it in a Workmate and running BBC6 Music through it all afternoon.

Thanks for the reply Alex, that sounds great! What kind of "hefty EQ" are we talking? Boosting 6khz upwards?
BTW, is there a frequency graph available for the driver?

Like having an amp with powerful active EQ (15dB cut and boost across a wide range) and fiddling until it sounds right to you! We have lots of measurements but one thing I've learnt in the last decade is that sharing them leads to the following results:

1. Most people don't have a clue what they mean and thus ignore them.
2. Some people know enough about measurements to completely misunderstand them and draw the wrong conclusions.
3. A tiny fraction of people understand them enough to draw the right conclusions - and those people are either audio industry professionals or hardcore amateurs, neither of which are likely to buy our cabs because they're rather make their own (possibly for a competing company)!

So you recon with a 10 band EQ (+/- 12db) i could get something approaching flat for music or vocals with the one10?

@alexclaber I had a random thought for a unique aesthetic option after the grille discussion a few pages back in this thread. How difficult would it be to offer a metal grille with a Union Jack painted/screen printed/powder coated on it? I think that would look awesome on my Super Compacts and show some national pride for their country of origin haha.

I had forgotten how magical this combination is. Barefaced tens just love tube heads. I normally take a pair of One 10s to band practice with a Mesa 800+, today I took the Four 10 and Orange AD200. Talk about instant growl with the jazz bass. Just wonderful. Next week I might go back to the pair of One 10s but take the Ampeg V4B this time. Come to think of it, no matter what head I have used with my Barefaced 10s I have never had a "bad" tone - just some tones are better than others. Love 'em.

Just a random thought.. Wouldn't be it be cool if barefaced made amps aswell, looks like they're doing great bringing out a guitar cab and expanding their business catering for guitarists. Then the hunt for the perfect amp to match whatever can they've got would be over haha. Apologies if that sounds a dumb idea

They have powered cabs. Just add a pre pedal and you're good.

I was involved in the Two10+One10 discussion a page back, and said I was going to run that rig, to see how it works. And, no surprise, it works just fine, sounds great, plenty of level. 8ohm One10 + 4ohm Two10 = 2.7 ohm Three10. Naturally you need a 2ohm-capable head. Maybe I am OCD but I kinda wish they'd have put the rubber feet on such that the badges were aligned on the same instead of opposite sides.

Are you able to pop the grille off of the One10 and flip it upside down?

That's a pretty sweet-looking rig! I feel pretty confident imagining that it was capable of much more volume than you needed....
