Today is a good day. Super Compact #2 has landed! I like the height vertically and that they are the exact same width as my SKB rack horizontally. Oh, and I think I might get fired from the band if the master volume gets too close to 11 'o clock.
If you're wondering what they are sitting on, that's my home-brew Auralex pad, aka a piece of plywood with a handle cutout, a thick carpeted rubber doormat screwed to it, and big rubber feet with silicone O-rings between the wood and rubber.

Like your home gramma pad. Looks like it actually might be more stable than my gramma pad.
My goal was to have it be the same functionally, but not have exposed foam on the bottom. I play outdoor gigs a lot in the summer and sometimes the stages can be dirty or slightly wet so having rubber feet as the contact patch with the stage is a better plan. It also doubles as a carpeted flatbed for my Rock 'n Roller cart!
I wonder if hard-ish rubber feet will still transfer more vibration than the foam of a Gramma, what do you think? I like my Gramma but perhaps I need a larger one... it seems a little bit susceptible to wobble particularly if stacking cabs + head etc and especially if the stage is wonky like a plywood slightly uneven stage etc.
I understand about the foam of a Gramma on questionable surfaces... got a little beer spilled near it once, that soaked in a bit, which did not please me.
Thumbs up to your pad having a dual function, I love it when when things can work out that way.
That was my worry, and while I have yet to field test it, I added soft silicone O-rings as spacers between the feet and board so the feet are free to flex and resonate independently a little more. Worst case scenario, it'll keep the cabs clean and give me a non-conductive dry surface to place a power strip (haha).

I've had both of the D's and now the WD with a Super Twin. It's an amazing noise. A perfect pair.
Just noticed the tolex is peeling on the back of one of my One 10s. The tolex square in the middle appears to have shrunk a little and the edges are turning up. Not a worry to me at all, just wondering if anyone knows what is the best glue to hold it down. I was considering brushing on some superglue but someone might have a better idea????
My One10 has the same tolex peeling problem and it seems that the tolex has actually shrunk a little. I haven't done. Anything about it ...
Yes, the tolex on mine appears to have shrunk a bit too. As I said, it does not bother me but I just want to secure it so it does not catch and pull away. Tried superglue which was only marginally effective. Contact adhesive seems to be working okay at the moment.
yeah id say 3M spray adhesive, or for small localized application, traditional rubber cement (aka contact cement) applied to both edges, set "dry to touch", then apply pressure—should hold a nice bond.

I'm currently taking a break from music and Barefaced-less, but if/when I decide to get back in the game, I think I'm going to go with a Super Compact. I've owned a One10 and a Two10 (both great), but the SC seems like it'd be the best choice for me for all potential situations. I'd have to upgrade my amp, though. My GK MB200 wouldn't be quite powerful enough.
I have an ELF that I've tested with mine and I like it, but my Mesa D800 certainly gives you more available output.
I posted this on the Barefaced Facebook page but might as well put it here for its drool factor. Overkill I know for band practice but I had to try it. One + One (in series) + Four (in parallel) = Six 10. Worked a treat. I was going to order a Two 10 to sit on top of the Four 10 but no real need now with the pair of One 10s doing the job. Another plus, it looks sweet too. The Orange sounded so sweet into it, I have owned a couple of Ampeg 810s and currently own a Fender neo 810 but I think this "Six 10" smokes them all.
At the risk of cab mixing, last night's hit with a 10-piece Steely Dan tribute band. This was the first gig with the Two10 where it got pushed a bit - previous gigs were farmers market duo/trio thing, relatively low volume. This actually is a great combination. One top is a Hathor 1203, pointed at the drummer. The Two10 is more focused, the Hathor a bit more open, ended up being a best of both worlds setup. We've played this venue a number of times, this is the happiest I've been with my sound.
That's really cool. I've been thinking of doing the same but putting the 210 on top so that nice punchy mids hit me right in the chest.
