"Official" Carvin and Kiesel Club - Part 3

This beauty has caught my eye. Has anyone played one of these and can give feedback?

Hi Folks,

New to this forum and just picked up this Purdy, 2017 Kiesel Icon 6. Sounds pretty amazing with tons
of tonal options. First 6 string and really enjoying it. Really like the Passive tone, too.
It was a custom order. I got it used/mint.

Russell G ... that bass is GORGEOUS!!! I really like how they're mounting the controls now, much nicer looking layout than the older layout (that I have). I'm not really jonesin for another Icon 6, there are 2 on the used.guitarcenter.com site.

I have a Aries 4 with similar wood specs. I went with the split coil in the neck single in bridge with passive electronics though. I love it, the bevel makes it very comfortable, mine is fairly light I would guess 8.5-9 lbs. Was my first Kiesel, and already planning a second build for a Zeus right now once I sell some gear.

Any other questions let me know!

oh really? inside the cavity you mean?? I have the HB/ Jb model..

Yeah, If you remove the pickguard/cavity cover you'll see a little trim pot. In this picture it's blue. I used to have mine set to have a boost compared to the passive signal so I could cut the bass and treble and have a more midrange heavy sound, but I found that every time I switched from active to passive the passive sound was too weak because the volume on the amp was set lower. So now I have it set so they're about even at flat.
