Blend 1-2 means that the signal-mix is more effect-signal than clean-signal, right?
Then you adjust Drive starting from zero. Makes sense to me and I will try that.
Both switches up makes the sound very fat and boomy.
I have the version with 3 positions on attack switch. Up is high boost, middle ist off, low ist low highs boost (when using cabinets without tweeter-horn). I like the grunt set to down/raw, too.

Hey! The clean to dirty signal ratio will depend also on how loud the dirty signal is set to (using the Level knob).

If the dirty signal's volume is set to unity (same level as clean) then the blend at noon would render a 50/50 mix. If you increased the dirty signal volume with the Level knob the ratio would change of course.
