Blend 1-2 means that the signal-mix is more effect-signal than clean-signal, right?
Then you adjust Drive starting from zero. Makes sense to me and I will try that.
Both switches up makes the sound very fat and boomy.
I have the version with 3 positions on attack switch. Up is high boost, middle ist off, low ist low highs boost (when using cabinets without tweeter-horn). I like the grunt set to down/raw, too.

Hey! The clean to dirty signal ratio will depend also on how loud the dirty signal is set to (using the Level knob).

If the dirty signal's volume is set to unity (same level as clean) then the blend at noon would render a 50/50 mix. If you increased the dirty signal volume with the Level knob the ratio would change of course.

My settings for a good metal tone:
Drive: 1:00
Level: 10:00
Blend: Max
Attack: Boost
Grunt: Raw

And then I crank the mids on my amp. I play fingerstyle and I get a really nice grit with these settings, especially if I dig in.

I use and Ibanez SRA 505 and a SWR Workingpro 12

I like mine for just a mild grit when I play with a pick. Settings:

both toggles up (attack and fat)
blend at 1-2
drive at 8, just a bit over minimum. You hear when the signal starts to break up
level at 1-2

This is with a Spector active bass with a kinda hot output. Sounds great.

My settings exactly. Pedal is always on.

Any help with that "just a little dirt" sound? Blend 10 o'clock, Drive 11 o'clock. Switches both middle?

When you guys say 1 thru 12 for settings what exactly do you mean, mine isnt marked as such. Do you mean like a clock? Or 1 - 12 12 being the maximum range of the knob? Sorry dumb question.
