My new to me early 80's ESP P-Bass. All original bass when I bought it. I had the fretboard resurfaced and fretted. Swapped out the vintage bridge for a Gotoh, and I got some new tuners and chrome knobs on the way. Back of the neck heel has NY under the finish. I assume that's for New York. The Fender headstock is before ESP got sued. So I figure about '83 or so.

More like late 80's versus early 80's.

Hi guys. For the past year or so I've been the proud owner of a LTD AX-104. I really bought if mainly for the looks, I know it makes me sound like a dush and all but I've always been really into V and RR shaped guitars and all that and to be honest I can't seem to like any body more..."normal" than an ESP F shape.
Since I couldn't find and try either a B.C.Rich or an ESP around Lisbon I kind of went on faith and ordered the AX-104.
It's a really heavy bass even though it's made out of basswood and that also makes it some what thin sounding but as far as neck/fretboard comfort go it's an amazing axe. Also, the big cut on top and slightly bevelled edges fit my playing position better than my Yamaha BBG5S, my wrists thank that lol. I'm saving to put EMG electronics and pickups in it so the sound matches the looks :hyper:
