I went out and looked at all the series they had listed. I'm actually disappointed by a few things. No B-100X basses other than these, no fretless V-214, no BB series just these, the V-214, a G&L clone and a Thunderbird clone.

I hope there are other models they just aren't showing.

If the E-II AP-5 is anything like its ESP Japan counterpart (AP-SL5) it will be the business. I own the Japanese one and it is awesome.

Between the AP-4/AP-5 and the J-4/J-5 versions of the Amaze they are slowly (but surely?) introducing models that were previously Japan-only. That is a good thing.

I posted this in Pickups too for more feedback also.

I finally finished installing a Bartolini 9J1 Bridge pup 214 P/J. It sounds awesome soloed, which is how I play - sometime only on the bridge a lot. I tend to either solo the P or J mostly, so this isn't THAT big of a deal, but when I blend the 2 pup's it sound very thin in the middle (at around :35 of the video) and all the bass drops out. In this sample, I have the tone rolled all the way off, and start with the J on full and with each successive rift, add in just a dribble of P...maybe 1 or 2 points on a scale of 10. I also noticed that when I use the P soloed, and this could be my imagination, but sounds a bit more bassy and deeper than before. What's going on? The same thing happened with the P up full and rolling in the J. I recorded direct with no effects whatsoever.

The Bart is a split coil, and I thought the P was too before I installed it, so it should be compatible. Could it be that the P is actually a single coil? I thought there was no such thing as a single coil P in this configuration (split pickup shells).

Reverse the wires coming from the jazz pickup. Solder the one going to the ground to the lug and vica versa.

From the pic, it looks like clear to the back of the pot, and the other to the terminal.

If you unsolder the wires that are now going to the back of the pot and twist them together, and then put a little solder on them to "tin" the wires, it should make it easier to solder to the pot lug.

If you have a problem soldering the braided shield to the terminal on the Pot then solder a stranded conductor insulated wire to the braid and then the other end to the terminal of the pot. You might want to put some heat shrinkable tubing over the braid and wire you connect to it (or at least tape over it) so it doesn't short out to something.

Yes, Gotoh 707's fit perfect. know this though, the top sleeve bushing is going to be slightly tight but they press in by hand without a problem. I just put the Chrome version on my B-5E. Thought about the black but decided to put a chrome bridge also. Those black are really nice looking. Just make sure you get 3 left and 2 right (3 bass side and 2 treble side). Call them and make sure they are 707's which require a 9/16" hole

I found out today that most of the Gotoh tuners have a 9/16" diameter (14mm hole). That should fit nicely, right? Do you face any difficulty when turning the keys? Any friction? How's the stability on them? And if you don't mind can you post a picture of the headstock? :D

Turning the keys are "liquid smooth". They fit nice and snug. Something you will notice about the Gotoh vs. the stock ESP. When you take the ESP's off wiggle the shaft. Lots of slop. Then try and wiggle the shaft on the Gotohs. It will be a stark difference. NO SIDE TO SIDE MOVEMENT
I have used Grover Titan's (Very good @ 20:1 ratio) and Hipshot ( best because of 27:1 ratio). These rate right up there in all but one area. The Gotoh's are equivelent to Grover Titan's which also have a 20:1 ratio and they beat the stock 16:1 ESP's by a wide margin. The Grovers used on my LTD-D5 are pretty decent. Don't know why they put Grovers on the D-5 but not the B-5E which is a nicer bass looks wise.
