Before I’m torched for stirring the pot, I should tell you that this was not one I bought from robhe8875.
As I was reading through this thread it became apparent that these super cheapies just may not get delivered.
I had already been bitten by the Glarry bug and inspired by others here. I had also been wanting to try messing around with a fretless so just a few days later I ordered up a more “expensive“ model Glarry with no frets and a natural wood color.
It arrived a couple of days ago just six days after I ordered it.
It looks just like all the others you’ve seen so I’m not posting any pics yet.
The finish looks pretty good. The neck looks straight and the fretboard looks rather nice, but there is a little bit of a ripple on the back of the neck where the third fret would be. Some light sanding over should fix that.
The nut and string action was sky high once I tightened the strings. Some filing and I expect a shim might be needed based on other reports.
Oh yeah, I plugged it in and it didn’t work!
After rattling the cord around in the jack I was able to get some sound. Something going on in there. Then it came through loud & clear.
The volume & tone pots seemed to work ok. It’s neck heavy for sure, but that body is so light. Wow.
The bass is about what I expected so I’ll see what I can do to make it playable.
