Well,

I think it's time to found a Talkbass Club for this amazing amps & accessories for bass made in Italy.
GR Bass as you know it's an Italian company that builds great amps and cabs. Also, they have expanded their product line in accessories such as: in ear headphones, pedals, preamps, cables, bags, ...

GRBass – Pure Sound

So, I think it's right to put the #1 membership to the user @GR Bass Staff

I'll take the number #2

To become a member the rules are simple: shoot me a PM with a number request, prior to that post a picture of your GR gear here. :)

This Club is aimed (of course :)) to show the amazing products of GR Bass but also to discuss, help each other with problems, enquiries and such.

Let's see the beauties!

Johnpaulbass, brother its awesome that you started this page but early this past February, I also decided to open a GR Bass club but with another name calling it "GR Bass review" (link Below). You may want to check it out.

GR Bass review

Hello!

I was checking for GR clubs and didn't find one, that's why I started it.

as far as I see this was a review thread (which I've read) not a Club.

Don' know ?

It's cool I really don't care, I am just glad the word is being passed down, because when I got my rig there wasn't nothing here at TB. My thought to name the page GR Bass Review was to get non-owner attention and also for owners to provide their review just like a club.

Ok, we're cool then.

Here's the number #6 for you :)

I would really go for a 410 cab due to my really bad back. But it is a bit too expensive for buying without testing. Shops are closed...anyone at least some experiences with the sound ?

Just got back from rehearsal and I was VERY pleased with the 212 Slim. As shown in the previous photo I had everything loaded onto the cart but when I got to the studio I just carried everything in one trip, it was all so light and less trouble than messing around with the cart. Great!

I used the Quilter BB800 amp and finally got to see the speaker cones really move. At such volumes I did experience head creep and every time I moved it back to the middle it would always move back to the same place and stay there but not fall off. Still, I will get a piece of shelf liner or use a towel to prevent movement. Stability of the rig was fine with the smaller and lighter BB800 head.

My guitar player kept commenting how diamond clear the sound was but with lots of beefy bottom end too, which I concur. No farting out on the low notes, although a few times I accidentally touched the piezo bridge which really makes a huge thump come out of the speakers. Gotta watch that. But overall its much nicer sounding than the crusty olde Peavey and rattling 4x12 cabinet (see photo) that I usually have to play through over there, and definitely more light and compact.

I am really enjoying the sheer simplicity and power of the Quilter BB800 with the sonic clarity and beef of the GR Bass, both at home and at rehearsal. Next week I will try a different rig and see how it goes, but it will be very hard to beat the ease of transport, great sound and immense power of tonight's setup.
