Little more of a driving rock song. Again, still needs some mixing and adjustments. There's some weird reverb on the drums that I don't like... I think the harp player was experimenting with some stuff in protools.

when I picked it up it reminded me of my old T-40.....
though the T-40 may have been a little heavier....

I mean, whoah my oh my! I'm tempted to put in the passive plate.
Although, with the Audere & the bridge pup solo'ed this is one mean growling rock monster!

I was just going through my photobucket account and realized how "far" I have come in just 2 years....
here is a brief pictoral history:
first there was the "lonely" T-40 (which I had for about 25 years):
then, these joined it for a while (and then the T-40 left):
50th anniversary Fender P
and I thought I was "happy" until the brothers Darryl and Bob showed up:
so this was the family picture:
I WAS happy until Amber came into my life and then the Fender HAD to go:
then the DJ5 came and for a while I had this (plus the RIC):
I also had the BG converted to a P/J about this timeframe....
the DJ4 went and my fretless came into the family:
Next Tabby made a brief but major appearance:
I still had my BG here (not pictured, but my RIC went in trade for Tabby).
Tabby went and JO5 came in...here was the family:
then the ICED BEAUTY appeared (as if in a dream) and this was the family:
until:
along came Blondie:

Thanks. I've recently written a song purely because I'd like to take the band in a slightly more pop direction. But I even as it stands, like the fact that the first time someone comes to one of our gigs, They've never heard my basslines before... Though we do a bunch of covers as well.
Holy snap, Doug! That *is* a lot of movement in 2 years, though I hadn't realised you'd had that old standby for 25 years.
I recently donated my longest-standing bass to a Cuban relief effort after a recent hurricane blew that country's music industry to hell, but even at that it was only 12 years. Before that, I'd sold my old Thunderbird because bills were piling up. The T-bird hurt, but the 12-year Washburn felt right.
Yup, I'm sure it won't be the only though...
I may have to put some Chi humbuckers in my 44-01!

It was "easy" to let it go but I regret it now......it was a GREAT (but VERY heavy bass!)...I regret getting rid of that alot more than the Fender P....and maybe slightly more than the RIC.....the RIC was my wife's favorite bass ('cause it was "pretty")......the RIC now gets airtime and stage time....which is a good thing and I know it is well taken care of and respected....even if it is the "detuned" bass for John!!!
