Actually, I can see where that came from! YOUR wife has to be careful when YOU are in the internet! There's still ebay and plenty of other Lakies out there!

I was just going through my photobucket account and realized how "far" I have come in just 2 years....
here is a brief pictoral history:
first there was the "lonely" T-40 (which I had for about 25 years):
then, these joined it for a while (and then the T-40 left):
50th anniversary Fender P
and I thought I was "happy" until the brothers Darryl and Bob showed up:
so this was the family picture:
I WAS happy until Amber came into my life and then the Fender HAD to go:
then the DJ5 came and for a while I had this (plus the RIC):
I also had the BG converted to a P/J about this timeframe....
the DJ4 went and my fretless came into the family:
Next Tabby made a brief but major appearance:
I still had my BG here (not pictured, but my RIC went in trade for Tabby).
Tabby went and JO5 came in...here was the family:
then the ICED BEAUTY appeared (as if in a dream) and this was the family:
until:
along came Blondie:
can you keep track of that all???? I barely can!!!

That's a fabulous story! I am feeling a lot easier now too.

Speaking of putting CS, humbuckers or singles on the 55-01. Can anyone comment on the position of the pickups on the 55-01 model? Is it any close to a JB? As far I can see, the bridge pickup is pretty much into the body, probably farther than that of the 60-ies JB... Any ideas?

I mean, whoah my oh my! I'm tempted to put in the passive plate.
Although, with the Audere & the bridge pup solo'ed this is one mean growling rock monster!
NOW THAT IS PURE SEX!!! And, we have another convert, HELL TO THE YEAH!
I've never been a fan of that PG or the look of the Audere's on a jazz. But, the black and chrome Chisonics COMPLETE the look perfectly and make that bass sizzling HOT! Congrats!
Will you please PM me on how much the install was? I've got half a mind to do that with my DJ5

Well, on a 5er the MM pup screw cutout/notches stick out beyond the chrome Chi housing. So, unless you want holes showing around the pup.....
May be different on a 4 banger, I dunno??
Kind of a crosspost from the Bassists forum... but I signed my first autograph last night. Granted it was for our drummer's little brother, but talk about putting a smile on my face
You know, first and foremost my main concern is to make sure that *I'M* happy with what I play. But man... this just reminded me of how awesome it is to know other people dig what you do as well. I know it's a cliche line used by virtually ALL performers, but this really is the greatest job in the world.
