you can also buy my fretless and have Lakland put a fretted neck on it!!!

No pressure....just a BIG suggestion! (LOL!)

lol i already have a 55-02, so i know what the LH3 sounds like. maybe it's my amp or something, but it's just not growly enough for me. maybe i need to put a diff battery in the bass. :help:

i really like the tone it has, but i've been wanting to get something that has moar bawlz lately.

Doh! I need to look at the LOG list before commenting!!

If you want Growly bawlz (OK - that does not sound good)....go for a CHIsonic......a pair of double humbuckers will give you growl and roar to spare.....have your 55-02 converted or buy a 44-02 and have it converted...or you can buy the LOG BASS!!!

Here's my lakland hollowbody beauty!

Grtz from Belgium!
Jan
Hi Jan, really nice HB! In order to put up a bass for sale or trade here, you need to become a supporting member first. I would strongly suggest editing your post so you don't get in trouble with the moderators.:)

i'm on the list for the log bass! i wants it...but i want something else now, too. rather than waiting a year for it to finalize and start being made and shipped out, etc, tho...i would like to pick something up now.

i'm especially looking for a 4 string, so if the log bass turns into a 5er, then i'd like to have a 4 hanging around too.

This gets us into a whole different discussion. I'd actually prefer a great gigbag as opposed to a hardcase. Gigbags are much easier to use from gig to gig as it frees up an arm when carrying equipment out and in. I'd prefer a gig bag with great protection to a hardcase 90% of the time. Now I do have a hardcase if the need every arises. But, unless I'm on tour somewhere, chances are the gig bags are the best way for me to. In that case, I want what is most durable and functional.
Yep, I understand. There are definitely two schools of thought on this--I haven't had a gigbag yet that I would prefer to a hardcase, but my experience with them is limited.

To keep this Lakland-related, and where I meant to go with this thought: If people were looking at Skylines on the Perfect Bass, for example, and they were given the option of checking "add a hardshell case for $109.99" or "add a gigbag for $179.99", I could see a lot of them having a real head-scratching moment. Maybe I'm wrong, I just think pricier gigbags, even when they're worth it, are a tougher sell for a lot of people. That's something Dan has to weigh, of course.

Yep...you cna get some gnarly growl out of that combo!

Most definitely. I like having both. I have two hardcases that came with my Laklands already. It would be nice to have the option, because they take up a lot of space. When I get my DJs, I'll have 4 hardcases taking up space.
