It's a -10 db pad button. Just wondering if my mind is playing trick on me thinking that the pad take away some of the dynamics.

it's possible that it does because of the fact that it's limiting volume. sometimes i hear nuances come out when i pump the gain on my shuttle, but i have no active/passive switch on that. and it could also have something to do with the tube preamp coloring the sound. :hiding:

This just made my mind bump into gear. If I'm running my passive Laklands through a VT pedal, and then to the head, should I be using the active in on my amp head? Not sure why I didn't think of that before, but...
I don't think you need to, Markus. From the time I tried it, I know you can match volumes with and without the pedal engaged, so it's not really boosting the signal.

:crying:today will be a sad day, my fretted scheff sold on friday and im shipping it out today.it is going to a good home in wisconsin.
i will miss it, its a great bass with a unique voice. But i will still have my fretless scheff and im keeping it forever.
and i only sold it to buy another lakland:bassist:

Sorry and wahoo!!!!

That went WAY to fast! I was going to offer you a trade but it was already gone by the time I even realized it was "for sale"....

I just found another picture of my bass. :)

STOP POSTING PICTURES of your "sqeeling deal!"

(just kidding!)

I am just jealous!!!

looks GREAT!!!!

I agree with you. I had a levy's gig bag when I got my skyline DJ and I was not happy with the quality.
The iGig bags are awesome, and, when the one I want is in stock, I'll order one. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to my LowEnd Leather Double Gigbag.

BTW: I finally got rid of that scrappy bag my axe came with. Went from this

It's a huge improvement. Someone near Dan should tell him to switch his logo onto those iGig bags. The Levi's just ain't worth the money, in my opinion.

They look good. How much do they run?

Agreed. I have a Levi's Lakland bag that I traded the hard case for, and it is just a total failure. Not worth ANY Lakland it may hold. And then I have a great padded bag that came with my Shoreline - it is by far the best bag I've ever had or seen. Don't know who makes them, it says LAKLAND Shoreline Series on the pocket.
I gather, a good guess would be that you can find those in ESP accessories, but without a Lakland logo.

Hello to all those represent and hold Lakland in high esteem. I was in Love with my Roscoe Beck V, until I tried a Lakland bass, omg. MTD move over. Here are my two 5502 Cerry Sunbrust with the new Lakland pickups and my three color Sunburst 5502 with Bartolini's.
