I've thought about that as well, but I love the look of a P, too.

I do too......I have 2 Js, will have 3 55-series and only 1 P? what is up with that??? I need to bring the ratios into better balance....besides, the P shape feels good.....

as for a Fralin 5 not sure.....I LOVES me my Fralin in my P/J! (even more than some of the Lakland Ps I have tried....:ninja:)

I picked up my fretless at Dan's shop in 2000 and had it for a bit before I realized that the serial number hadn't been stamped in the headstock. I brought it, and my fretted 55-94 in for its annual tuneup, so Carl could stamp the serial number in the fretless. Here he is with my fretted Lakland after putting her back in top playing form.

NICE....you know....some of the necks in the background have not moved....ha ha!!

I'm up near the "Frozen Tundra" in Packer country, but I was just in Chicago last weekend. I haven't been able to stop at the shop for quite a while and I think my last visit to the "playroom" was when the hollowbody was just being released. I think that if I remember correctly, during that visit I also played a Lakland electric guitar that was never released.

so the ice is JUST now melting?

I was born and raised in Milwaukee and spent many a week up in your neck of the woods at several paper mills....nice area...when it is spring or summer.......downright nasty in winter!!

Just thought I'd post it since it is related to Lakland in a way.

Just finished designing the site for Hanson Guitars! These are the guys that build the electronics for the basses we love! Laklands very own John Pirruccello (and brother Bo)!

More stuff to come on the site, like sound clips, etc.!

Very GAS worthy guitars!

Greg got some tickets to the Cubs v. Padres tonight and I could not go due to still not feeling "up to par"....and I am teaching a class this week TH-Sun so I have to be "chipper and as good as I can be".....which ALSO means there will be 2-3 days without me posting...will have to see what the rest of you are made of!!!!

Just don't go to #19 without me!!!

Oh man, I love me some Cubbies... GO CUBS GO! Good luck with the class, hopefully your withdrawals aren't too bad.

Thanks, the Cubbies were great! The Padres hit a two-run homer in the first, then there was no scoring for a while. Cubs got one in the 5th, a monster two-run homer in the 6th, a pinch-hit solo homer in the 7th and two more in the 8th--excellent game! Weather was great, the seats were in the upper deck--but near the front and almost directly behind home plate and near the terrace with all the 'dogs, brats, etc.:D Sorry you had to miss it, Doug!

Very cool! I didn't know John P. was involved, I've heard from a mutual friend with a studio that he's a killer guitar player! I'll be checking it out for sure.

Awesome. We're hoping to make a game or two this year at Wrigley (the wife has never been), and we've already got tix for a few games at Wrigley South (Cincinnati, where she's from). Hopefully they can stay competitive until everyone gets healthy!!
