Its outside in a parking lot, with the cab placed directly on concrete so I had to give the bass eq a boost (which I usually don't do).
Be sure to choose the "watch in high quality" option as the camera's input is distorting somewhat.

The Mo'Mark sounds interesting, if I could build a 1000W F1 that would have a semi-parametric tone section and full-featured DI, that would be very cool!

[My current cab is 8 ohm and I usually do not run through our PA, so for outdoor gigs I prefer as much headroom as I can get.]

Of course, you'd lose the current very cool form-factor of the F1, but that's really incedental to me in the larger scheme of things.

Looking to upgrade my set up with about £900 to spend (give or take a bit) I like the look of

Markbass CMD 121H Bass Combo, 450 Watt on 4 Ohm,
280Watt on 8 Ohm, 1x12"

And adding an extra Laney RB-115 or Gallien-Krueger 210GLX

Can you guys offer any advice, we play covers in pubs and clubs

lol the first time i brought my LMII to band practice and the first thing my guitar player says is "how many songs is that thing going to be able to make it through?" ...I just laughed...by the end of practice the drummer said "thats a lot of volume for a little box!"

I only had the volume set at about 9 o' clock ;)

I read 1 review that put the mini CMD121P in front for delivery of lows, I guess you guys don't find that to be true/subjective

Just find it hard/strange to go down to 1 little combo after my old Peavey kit.

I was at the St. Louis GTG this past Saturday, and had my F1 hooked up to a pair of Berg AE210 cabs. Got a lot of comments of amazement with both the tone as well as ouptut that rig had. Made me proud. :)

Thing is, it was a particularly boomy room, so it was the perfect place to demo what those cabs can do, and what I love so much about them. I'm talkin' MAX PUNCH and CUT! :D

I was at that alleged GTG.
I'd never played any MB stuff.
The F1 is a very nice box.
I think Vic had it set flat, with both of the "widget knobs (VLE and whatever the other one is) turned off.

It sounded real damn good thru the 2xae210's.

I see an MB something in my future. I think the LMII is prolly more "my flavor," but that F1 is just so dang small.....

Wish I could have been there -- I love to hear the F1 with several different Berg combinations (and two AE210 is definitely one of them).

is there really a big difference tween the lm2, sd800 and f1? those are the only ss mark bass heads ive played, and to me they all sounded identical, i didnt get really down and dirty on them when I bought it, i ended up with a lm2, mostly cuz the wattage was right, but in retrospect, i wish i had bought the f1, just for the extreme tinyness factor. but is there a big diff. in sound?

Well, "big" is relative and subjective so it's hard to say, but I think it's safe to say anyone would notice it. To me it's significant, but not huge. Maybe put another way, if I had a preference for one, and it got stolen, and I had to use the other one, it wouldn't bug me.

1212L eats the UL212 for breakfast ;-).

Tone wise i guess the UL212 is fuller and slightly deeper on its own, close up but the 1212L has a lot more kick to it (and isnt really lacking in the usable low end)
I did some bigger gigs with the 1212L recently that had the UL212 struggling last time i did them (Holiday camps with big wooden stages). Had the master on my SA450 a notch or two lower but the bass was much fuller out front. I go wireless so i get to hear these things and having the 1212L made a big difference to our sound. The 1212L seems to thicken up out front, away from the stage and i found the opposite with my UL212.
And the 1212L (and my 1210R) seems to handle wooden stages better. Less boomy.

All IME of course.
