Well, after waiting months and months for the F1 rack ears from GC I canceled my order and finally got them online instead.
Here is the F1 mounted in a 10.5" deep 4 space SKB rack:

The rack consists of:
  • Furman PL Plus Power Conditioner
  • Markbass F1
  • Roland XV-5050 Synth Module
  • Korg DTR-1 Digital Tuner
Since I play Bass and Keys in my band, The Roland XV-5050 is controlled by these:

The F1 mounted makes it easy to bring my Bass Amp and Keyboard rig all in one small 4 space rack.
It is too bad the ears are hard to get. I hope the F500 comes with them!

is smaller than a tuner!!!

Nice rig! ;) I too have the 210 combo with a 15. I think yours is the 151HF? It looks like it in that pic. I very nearly bought that one but in the end I went with the Traveller 15 for the smaller size and weight, haven't been disappointed as it kicks arse. See post #410 in this thread for a pic.

I have a Ric too, but mine's fireglo so doesn't match as well as yours! :D

misfit-x and bassybill and/or anyone,

I've got a similar setup LMKII, 102T and 151hr and a question (see it on page 44 of this thread).

Do you guys ever play on a small stage and you need to stand practically right up against the amp? I did last week and could barely hear myself. The 2-10's are right about ass level. I ?guess? misfit-x can tilt the combo but that's not a good option for me. I was thinking about getting a 6 space rack to put on top of the 15 to raise the 2-10's, put the LMKII in the rack and, if that's not enough, tilt the 2-10's back with a 2x4 or something. Anyone with a better idea to solve this?

Tilting or raising the amp is indeed the option so the sound goes directly to your ears instead of following the floor.

Thanks. It's too bad that no one has yet invented a small lightweight adjustable cabinet raiser/tilter... The amp stands I've found online don't look like they'll work well on top of the 151HR, though it's hard to tell since they don't say what the dimensions are.

You might indeed need to invent something of your own, but there are all kinds of ways to use something existing in your house that is foldable and could be taken out on gigs, something to put the amp into a tilted position. Most guitar amp stands might work, especially with MarkBass stuff, depends on the size of your cab and so forth. Or just place it against a back wall tilted, that should work, too.

Thanks for the thoughts. I guess you didn't look at the rig on p.44. It would be difficult to tilt the whole thing back. Last week's gig was in a outdoor gazebo and the back wall wasn't high anyhow. And the head (LMKII) sits on top so there's the risk of it vibrating off if it's tilted, so ideally, the head would be between the two bottoms… maybe I will just try to design something out of wood..

I haven't been able to try the stereo yet but one day!! Your '08 should have the new wiring in it for the standard/vintage sound so that should be cool. I play a lot of different styles from punk to funk to metal, i tend to use different basses for different styles. I usually keep the eq on flat for most things because it really brings out what your bass actually sounds like although i also boost the VPF with a little high boost also to get that great trebel punchy 15" speaker thumpy punk sound from my MIA Fender P-bass. There are so many options that this rig gives me for tone along with the different basses i have. It is just a lot of fun to play on.

Wow, three more posts and we'll have to close this thread and start a new one! How exciting for Marco deVirgilis and Peter Murray! I'd be excited, too, but Vic gets all the Markbass kickbacks now.

J/K...nobody's getting kickbacks here...we just love the stuff.

To donstrenz - I'd suggest you could tilt your 210 cab by putting this underneath it...

... but you may need to find some way to secure the head when the cab's tilted back. I don't know whether it would work well for you (depends on the "footprint" of the amp) but I find Velcro sticks to MB carpeted cabs like **** to a blanket. I fix my wireless receiver to my amp that way. Let me know what you think in the new thread (see link in Jimmy's post above, #999 :p)

The other alternative is get a 102P combo. ;)
