Hoping I get can get some help here on my Terror Bass v2. I have problems with the amp cutting out. I plugged it into our PA as well to confirm that the DI is not affected. I reached out to Orange and got this response:
If you are tripping the limiter then there is some serious level mismatch going on. It is on the power section to keep from blowing, rather than on the input or after the preamp, so it could be that your preamp is running really hot and amplifying sub lows that could be tripping that limiter and not even possible to reproduce or hear. Try rolling off some low end on your acoustic pre and possibly high end as well in case it is happening the other way.
Now, I'm having the same problem with my electric as well (Ric->HX Stomp->Orange) so this is not purely an upright pre-amp issue. I'm plugged into a Greenboy 212 and it's nowhere near the crazy loud limit that it can get to.
One weird issue I'm having that may or may not be related: if the amp is plugged into the DI when I turn it off it makes two high pitched wooping sounds almost like a car alarm through the PA.
