Well that sucks. I just got a new bass this week. I wanted either a Harvest Orange EBMM Stingray Special HH or a Smoked Chrome EBMM Stingray Special HH.Update on my Glenn Hughes Deep Purple Orange Crush Bass 50.
Shipping end of April now…![]()
Lol. Reminds me of a song by Motorhead, The Chase is Better than the Catch.I'm ok with it…sometimes the waiting is more fun than the actual item. But in this case.![]()

Damn, another thing that sucked today. Hopefully you get the chance to play it soon.I was really excited to use my orange gear today. This guy agreed to jam with me today but he stopped replying. Maybe another time.
Depending on access to the stage, a small trolley, hand cart, whatever you call it, makes a helluva differenceI have a outdoor gig coming up, my problem is finding help in moving the 4x10 obc cabinets, I can do it but it might throw my back out.
I'm in an Australiana folk rock band. A few weeks ago I played an "acoustic" gig at a smallish venue: vocals, violin, acoustic guitar and acoustic bass (me). The vocals and violin went through the house PA and the guitar went through the house amplifier (Vox, IIRC). I knew in advance that the venue did not have a house bass rig, so I brought my Orange LBT and SP210 mini-cabinet. It's the smallest rig I own.
I know it sounds like a really odd pairing, but my Martin BCPA4 acoustic bass guitar sounded amazing through my diminutive Orange rig. There were lots of musicians in the audience, and a few people came to speak to me afterwards to compliment me on my tone and asking me why I was using a "metal" amplifier with an acoustic bass guitar.
It never occurred to me that Orange is considered "metal"... is it? I guess the Black Sabbath legacy is still strong. Maybe I should wear spikes to my next gig \m/
Question for Terror mkII owners:
The power light of my mkII sometimes hesitates to go on/flickers when switching from off to standby. Amp operates flawlessly otherwise.
Something to worry about or just part of the security checks at startup?
Just normal operating procedure...
Mine takes a second for the light to come on and also takes a second to turn off.
No big deal...
I was told by one sound guy that it sounds like a bass is supposed to sound like. Another sound guy told me that the Terror Bass and TC RH750 were his favorites of mine to work with. When I have gone out into the crowd, wirelessly, it does sound really good and tubey to my ears. As always YMMV.Question to the club: is the DI out on the terror bass v2 the warm tubey deliciousness that I imagine it to be?
