I guess I should become a member here? Just bought my Bass Terror yesterday and LOVING it so far!

Just waiting for tonight when I get to turn the thing up! Watch out, guitarists ;-)

**** UPDATE ****

...on the Crush 20B practice combo-(Orange`s red headed step-child)- Now that I understand how "gain" works vs. "volume" I`m getting a very decent tone from this little fellow. For me it sounds best with both "Low" and "High" maxed out and the "Mid" at half way. For apt. or duplex practicing I keep the volume set at 1 (2 if I`m feelin` frisky). I`m happy with the Crush 20B.

just my $0.02 worth

Yes that is a Ad200 sitting on 2 Sp410 cabs. No I never did a side by side test. But when I go back down to ATL I will check it out.. I know the SP cabs are to die for! Way more out put and tone to killer for.. Having a 810 in side a space of a standard 410 is GREAT!

Stereo Monkey- maybe I will put a little water on my rig so it will grow.:D

Yes an add some detergents to get the orange color from the top ;)

An other question: as far as I know the SP410s have handles on the upper side. Is the top sitting safely on the SP410 or do you have to place it on those handles?

FUN FACT: My grandmother worked as Billy Gibbon's personal assistant for a few years back when they used nothing but Orange. Due to this fact I will be a part of this club one day, mark my words.

This is my new favorite one here. The only thing cooler than orange Orange is white Orange...I'm dying to know where I can get an AD200 in white - and the OBC 15 in white? I didn't know that existed!!! I gotta move to another country...

I believe they have white as an option for 2009. Humbucker Music is stocking them.

As an example, Matt Sharp recorded most, if not all, of his clean tone in Pinkerton on an Orange -> SVT 810 rig. It sounds freaking awesome!

We have made recordings some weeks ago and I decided in the studio to use the AD200B with the (old) 810 that was in the studio. Great sound, a bit brighter and cleaner than the Orange stack. BUT: live I would always use the 115+410 Orange cabs. The 115 has a special sound that is great for live...

I posted this as a thread, but no helpful responses - has ANYONE heard or tried the AD140 for bass? I know they're a discontinued model and I found a good deal on a used one - I was wondering what you guys thought...

I imagine it'd be a little cleaner than the OR120...not as much headroom as the AD200, but dang, I can get one of these for HALF the price of a used AD200...

would anyone be able to chime in?

Thanks...

I left the handles on both cabs.. the bottom cab has the feet taken off and the grill turned right side up:bassist:

I would add though (as a caution) that you didn't feel that the V4b had enough gas for your playing situation and I would expect the 140 to be (wattage wise) similar so proceed accordingly.

Hey Pedro, actually I thought the V4B was quite loud enough for my situation. That's why I think the AD140 might even sound better - more headroom, two channels...

Plus they're going cheap these days (cheap in Orange terms like <$1000)

Soooo tempting...but that AD200 is tempting too - but a used one would run me around 1700 smackers
