speaking of the Japan only variants, here is a 1989 Soloist bass ( their version of the 3b ) I bought a couple months ago.
and this one I am waiting for it to be delivered from the same seller in Europe. The Charvel version of the Jackson TBX -Japan market only.
I forgot to post the traditional "on the floor" picture of the Japan only units.

I got this one yesterday and even though it came in a nice case, just for kicks wanted to see if it would fit in a chainsaw case...it does...lol

not too many of these made in sea green and the price was right.
I bought it new in '86 for something like $750, which was a lot for me at the time. It had been my main bass for most of the years since. Killer tone and action. I love this thing!
