oh man, I have a super old picture of the rainbow dated 2014

ok the preamp is shot on that one, it's currently wired P Pick(QP COPY-Duncan Designed from a Squire) straight to the jack
AWESOME SOUND on RAINBOW IN THE DARK by Dio for a few shows.
But the neck need to see a doctor(TECH) to see about a truss rod issue. I've been putting it off due to possible fret board breaking.
So I found a Charvel Model 1B on Guitar Center Used gear most because I like Maple FingerBoards.
The Thought was maybe to put the Charvel neck on the Jackson body. What Would You Do?

I just bought another couple je2000 preamps so I can go preamp crazy and one of my 1b's is going to get one. I just put one in one of my 2bs

the 1b neck will be an 1/8 inch too small in the pocket for the jackson body but it will line up with the holes perfectly. You will have to fill the sides with 1/16th strips or it will never tighten

The only 1b that would work is the 1986 that uses the usa spec neck

I Love that Blue!!!!! I'm assuming V/B/ Stacked Bass/Treble?
Did The Model 1B ever come in the Blue Color (Cobolt Blue?)?

Where do you find new je2000 preamps? Thinking it would be good to have a spare, cuz IME, if you have a spare, you’ll never use it. But if you don’t have a spare...

yes correct on the tone layout and yes that blue is a standard color and mrfixit on ebay sell the reproductions ( which are the exact same things as the originals )
