The "A" body style is my favorite.

I'm back on the Ramirez wait list, and the next one's likely to be a version of the "A".
I'm guessing I won't even get in the back of the build queue for at least 6 months, so there's still lots of time to weigh specs/options.
I do know I'll be "challenging" Wilser with at least a couple of more "firsts".

I've been holding off on a full review of my fretless seven until I use it on a gig.
Unfortunately, since delivery, I haven't played out where fretless was appropriate.
I may have to put a review out there anyhow.

Hi Steve:

Check out Will's basses on Link Removed. He has a quite a gallery of basses he's completed, styles to choose from, and price points. Email him and let him give you the pointers on his basses. If you're considering a trade, try a test drive. Will gives you uncompromising quality, that's for sure.

If you are choosing a new build, consider that Will offers a 3 year (that's right folks...) warranty on defects in manufacturing. No one else would dare even try that! He answers all questions himself. Give it a try...

They look like Foderas. Since when did Fodera become the new cookie-cutter bass style a'la Fender? I'm not knocking these at all but it's no wonder that "Retro" is "in" when everything new seems to repeat it's self anyway.

I am putting the headless bass through its paces, pics are up on Wilser's site. Still need to try it in a band context. Expect a full review in about two weeks.

First impression: excellent.

It's funny you mentioned Fodera. I just keep getting compliments on my Ramirez bass and-yes I keep hearing: "I thought it was a Fodera."

The truth is, I have never played a Fodera and I wasn't going for that "style" in particular if you will. I just liked the design and it was great that Wilser was able to accommodate my combination of woods and his model "A" design. It wasn't until well after I had been playing my bass that I kept getting the "Fodera" comment.

Anyone can buy a Fender or similar "knock-off" but if you want custom-why go for a similar style that you can buy off the rack at a store to begin with?

I hope to buy another Ramirez in the near future...*(providing my wife doesn't buy a shotgun...)

Demands of Wilser's day gig has put him way behind.
