Yes...I have been thinking about it for some time now...the Official Ramirez bass club thread! There hasn't been one created...until now!

To join: Do you own or plan to own a Ramirez bass? List pics of your bass and/or specs for your future build. Pics are preferred!

Special note: I am only referring to Ramirez basses built by Wilser Ramirez. (No offense to Ray Ramirez or any other builder that might be going by the same name. Sorry!)

Want in????

RudyBoy98,

A nice idea, starting this thread, but I'm not sure how far it can go.
AFAIK there's only three other TBer's who have had W Ramirez Basses built;
(Stedale, - - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - Bhuti, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - and DannyR)

I guess they may be other TBers (like BobbyK) who are in-waiting.

All that said, I'll proudly take a # if you'll have me aboard.
(guess there's nothing wrong if this ends up a snobby exclusive club.):rolleyes:

My fretless seven is almost done.
But like Larry said, Wilser has to put building aside for a while.

I'm starting to get a complex.

Months ago I jokingly warned Wilser about the "Kowal Curse";
Guys doing work for me having bad things happen.

Were talking-
freak injuries, reliable equipment failing , lightning (not kidding) etc., etc,--
--- Heck, a wood shipment for my 7 was delayed because a storm tore off a section of the supplier's roof !
EDIT:
(note to self; crack pipe AFTER I post, NOT before!).
Don't know how I conjured that roof detail. It was just storm damage (I think Larry's building, if so, sorry Larry) :D.

No, I don't really believe in curses,
and I surely don't mean to trivialize Wilser being laid up.
But its pretty freaky.

Well...

You don't "have" to have one in your possession. If you just want one, like them, or are planning a build...that's good enough for me. No snobs will want to be members anyway! :D

RLK is our newest member! #4

KAGE: If you want a number...I'll be happy to have you aboard. Just say so!

The idea behind this is support for our Ramirez Bass Club ™ and the desire to own one, and support Wilser's work getting out there! Being a proud owner of a new Ramirez A5 model ™ is awesome!

I hope others that are on the waiting list will chime in and become members too.

If Wilser could ever do this full-time and hire help...it'd be great! (Well, one can dream, right?!) He's got so much work, I wish I could help him make progress. (A three year waiting list has got to be difficult!)

Eventually, the bass world will have to allow Rb ™ (Ramirez bass) to open its doors internationally and become part of the most respected manufacturers out there. Of course, this is all provided Wilser gets more orders and continues to have a thriving business after recovery. Wilser, if you can read this, I am praying for your recovery brother.

Special note: The Rb logo™, Ramirezbass ™, and Ramirez A5 model ™ are the sole properties of Wilser Ramirez. (Used with permission). Ramirez Bass Club ™ is not currently trademarked...I am just working this club for fun, and don't plan to use it in for any other purpose.

Hi guys,
Thanks for all the kind words. It's kind of weird you guys wanting to start a "club" when there are so few of my basses going around (as of today ;) ) but I'm glad to be of any help supplying specs, answering any questions about my work.

Larry, thanks for bringing up the current health situation. I had been thinking of the correct way to post this and where and I guess this is the perfect place. I had surgery on Jul 3rd which had complications that led to a second surgery and hospitalization on Jul 15th. I am much better now, but have been recommended plenty of rest and limited physical activity for at least the next 2-3 weeks. All the customers who have basses in progress have been kept up to date and most have been more than supportive. It is during these hard times that the best and worst qualities of the persons around you come out and you can really tell which are most likely to become good friends in the future.

Thanks to all for you prayers and good vibes sent my way.

PS. Anybody that has been following the OT regularly probably knows everything about my condition :D
