I am really great fan of TUNE basses (Korean and Japanese)

I have TUNE TWB53QM (Korean) and I am happy as a bird with it.

I'd like to know - Do we have enough guys here to make "Official TUNE bass Club"?

    Warnan - Numero Due - Number 2!

  4. Yeah, Tune basses are VERY nice. I had a TWB63 for a while and The only reasons I sold was the finish (Ferrari red doesn't suit me, lol) and the lower horn kind of dug into my leg. The tone was amazing! To this day only one other bass that I've owned has really surpassed and that's my Spector Euro 6LX. If I get the chance to get one with a figured top I may have to jump on it.

Not really sure of the model of mine, but it is a TWB-63 I think, with Flame Maple over Ash in a Transparent Red Finish, with Gold Hardware. Got it used at Sam Ash in Nashville, TN. It has a little chunk off the finish on the lower horn, but its still beautiful. When I checked it out at the store, I was impressed by the string spacing and the neck, but the tone didnt blow me away, then I got home and adjusted the filter inside and BOOM, instant tone. I love it. I dont play 6 string at all live, but I use it alot in the studio, and I love to practice with it, just to get my mind working. Can I be in the club, I can get a pic up soon!

Man, thats really NICE!!! Im a bit jealous of that flame!!

Question fellow Japanese Tune owner: What is the knob layout of your bass. Mine is a bit unclear. Im pretty sure the top 2 are volume & p/u blend. However, the bottom knobs seem to be (from the bottom) treble, bass, & I can't determine the last knob. It has no center detent which leads me to think its not the standard EQ knob.

    Thanks!!!

    : Hey Guys.

: Which Tune basses do you own.,the Korean or Japanese built Tunes
: and from your experience with them, how do they rate?

    : James Tejada

    Hai. I'm Bernd from Holland.

Last year I bought a second-hand Tune Bass Maniac Standard for 300 euro. The bass was built in the late 80's or begin 90's, and was bought in Holland for about 900 euro. It's a very good, lightweight bass. It plays and sounds very good. I became a real Tune fan and when I play the Fender I miss my Tune.........

In my search for any backgrounds of my bass I wrote a mail to Tune, this is what they send me back:

    Dear Bernd,
Sorry for our late reply to your e-mail.

First of all, I'd like to give you an information about TUNE BASSES.

Please noted that we are the owner of " Tune" brand for world market except Japan.
We have Trade mark registration for Europe, USA and Korea.

Actually Tune bass was designed by famous Japanese bass designer Mr. Hatsun Fujitany.
And WSC in Korea was a major supplier for Tune basses.

Along the way, Mr. Hatsun passed his right of Tune brand to Mr. Choi , our president of WSC.
Because he trust Mr. Choi is the right person who really understand how to build Tune based on the original specification.
During this process, one of Mr. Hatsun's staff asked him to leave the right for Tune brand usage in Japan and Mr. Hatsun granted this to him.

In the meantime, it seems that your Tune bass is made in Japan.

We're sorry we couldn't help you on this matter.

    Best Regards,
    Overseas Sales Dept.
    Hannah WSC

So, my experiance with Tune is only positive and I can recommand this bass to all players!!

Greetz from Holland and sorry for my bad English.
