I've got the bug. My new to me Zon Sonus Special 5. :)

The Wilkinson bridge has to go. Anyone have suggestions for a replacement?

Scored a new-to-me 2001 Sonus 4/2 a couple weeks back in a great trade. Black as midnight on a moonless night. Been interested in trying a Sonus since the BP review back in '93 or so. Well, I'm definitely not disappointed. I'm still getting a handle on the (incredibly stiff with just-right relief) responsive composite neck - it demands the best of me in terms of technique, but seems well worth the effort for its alive-ness. Chords are especially impressive with each note discernible for as long as I hold it.

Killer bass, and I would totally contact Zon directly to see if you can get one of their current bridges they use. They're very nice and solid with a simple setup.

Congratulations!!! I also waited a few years to get a Zon, but when I finally bought one It was way beyond my expectations... Please post some pictures when you can...

Just a heads up guys. Guitar Center has a used Zon Studio 5 for $1699 in Baton Rouge. It's in Baton Rouge, because I bought it from the Memphis GC Thursday and it showed up not as described, so I returned it locally. Nicks and scratches all around, scuffs, electronics had some minor issues, and to top it all off I think the Marlboro man owned it.. Yuck!! Buyer beware on that one.. I snapped a picture before I brought it back, and at a distance it does look VERY nice..
