Good old-fashioned GB-7s on the three I had. I installed Hipshot Ultralites on them.

Gotohs are my favorite for smoothness, but they are relatively heavy. Hope you work it out @Halegroove . Btw I am still digging your Roscoe fretless 6!

That’s awesome to hear. It was the best sounding fretless I’ve ever owned.

New to me. I was about to place an order until I found out it was 14-18 months. That’s when a Sonus 519 34” scale 24 fret bass came available. No waiting. After some negotiations it was finally on its way to me and will arrive on Friday.

519/34 is the way to go!!!

Which Nordstands are those? Big Blades or Zen Blades? What preamp does it have?

Big Blades with Bartolini preamp. I’m probably not gonna stick with that combination. Engineers around here are too picky for single coils unless you’re a guitar player. I’m leaning Delano

I was curious about the 5 strings Sonus Insignia of Cody Wright, it was done a year ago but Cody rarely used it, I asked him and he shared that live. The segment goes directly to the last song with the bass "solo"

Please keep us posted. I've got Big Blades in a couple of basses and haven't had nearly as many issues with them being single-coil as I thought I would have, and now am quite a fan of those pickups. But it's nice to see a Zon with a standard pickup rout so other pickups (besides the usual Bartolinis) can be tried.
