Has anyone here switched-out their standard Gotoh GB7s for Hipshot Ultralites? My TJ5 Fretless is a bit heavy in the headstock and I believe this switch will be direct replacement and take about 1/4 lb. off my headstock.

You won't have any issues... they are a direct replacement.
Just be sure to use the same screws that are used on the Gotoh tuners that came with your ZON and DON'T use the screws that come with the Hipshots... I believe ZON uses a machine screw with threads that better grip the composite material and the Hipshot screws are regular wood screws that don't do so well with composite material.
Remember... don't overtighten!

I wanted to ask for the opinions of those of you who have played/owned the Sonus RT5. The genereal consensus seems to be that any Zon with a wood neck is not what owning a Zon is all about, putting that aside I want your opinions on it as a higher end bolt-on 5'er overall. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, I was just popping in to let everyone know that I'm looking for a 6-string fretless Zon under $2k. Gloss fingerboard preferred, but I'm willing to take what I can get. Contact me if you have one you'd be willing to part with. 
Does anyone know the whereabouts of this bass? One of the coolest (IMO) and unique Zons ever.

Veteran to graphite but new to Zon.I was wondering if I could get a little help from the Zon nation.I have here a 94 Zon Legacy which I talked to Zon and they said they didn't make these particular one for that long and I was wondering about value and rarity.I know I've not run across one before.Thanks guys

The Bass and Brews gig was a blast. Ray, Alex, and Michael are such nice people. There was a great variety of music from the bands that played too.
Joe, Chris, Mark, and Loren are the coolest people ever and always make me feel such a part of the Zon family.

Forgot to mention that Alex was kind enough to let me play his 4 string for a couple tunes. Holy crap that bass plays like butter.

Hey everybody, I have recently become interested in getting a zon. I figured this would be the place to come for info. I love the idea of just about everything on the Zon sonus 4 customs. The only thing I worry about is it having enough punch and balls. Enough thick bottom end. All the videos I look up are people playing beautiful melodies in the upper register and although the highs are crystal clear and perfect im curious about the bottom end. Can you get a thicker rock style tone or are they only tailored to get the more "pretty" clear sounds.
^ have no fear -- they have MASSIVE low end and can easily be dialed in to get a mid-heavy "Lemmy" growl / roar timbre. They also can REALLY cut in a mix without losing girth. Lots o' hard rock players use them for this reason.
I really like the Custom configuration. My Sonus 5 Custom fretted absolutely kills.
