The 400hz setting is just very boxy, like a cheap practice amp.
My only complaint with the polyfusion is the hiss and lack of head room when the battery gets below about 8.8 volts.
@armybass what is the topwood? Is it Koa or redwood, or something completely different? I got to play an Ash body redwood topped bass the other day, and the acoustic resonance really added to the growl. Much more than mahogany and maple.

not just a sonus, but a sonus custom! unlike the standard sonus with j style pickups and a bart preamp, this one has the dual soaps and the polyfusion preamp. i used to have a fretted one. superb basses.I’m sure I’ve posted this before but this is my lovely Zon Sonus 5 Fretless.
