Official Zon Club Part 5

Those who have had a Sonus with both, do you like the wide aperture soapbars with the polyfusion or the narrow aperture singlecoils with the Bartolini pre?
I had the soapbars with the Bart pre and loved it. I put an ACG preamp in and love it even more.

@kesslari have you had a polyfusion?

I took the Polyfusion out of my 5 string, and replaced it with the East/ACG and then the East U-Retro. Much hotter output from the East preamps...though I was not too keen on the ACG version on a single pickup bass. I would try it again on a dual pickup instrument though.

I am extremely happy with the East preamps in my Zons.

This is an older Sonus without the truss Rod. But the neck is just perfect as is. I tried the East preamp before settling on the Pope. Big thing with the Pope is that the lower mids can be dialed in to perfection. Great fretless.
