Well, or he was requesting people adhere to specificity of language when suggesting something inflammatory. He isn't wrong. And that has nothing to do with Zon. It is a good general principle in these circumstances.

I don't think he was suggesting what you are suggesting he was.

Besides, the behavior and the experiences still stand regardless of people needing to ascribe intent/motive to it. It still isn't good, regardless. But I'd rather not prescribe intent to someone else's actions.

I'll leave it at this. It IS a lie if you state an "estimate" that you know isn't true. He was making it seem as though there is no possible way that Zon was telling a lie because he was giving an estimate.

If I tell you I can paint your house by around 2 o'clock tomorrow for $45 give or take.... and I know that isn't true.... I have told a lie. Now, "around" or "give or take" technically make my statement an estimate. But if I KNEW I couldn't do it NEARLY that quickly or NEARLY that cheap, my estimate was a lie.

If Joe KNEW he wasn't going to finish that bass every time he said it, then it doesn't matter that the time frame was an "estimate". It was still a lie.

On the Zon BG4, does anybody know what the top row of tiny phillips adjustments do?

Those are the parallel drive options when you engage the switch on the front. They are: Volume, Tone, Drive, Blend.


I attached a photo of the back of my BG4. It's interesting to see how they align the EQ differently.

Some beautiful basses. I'm not an owner, but have always liked what I have seen from Zon. Maybe one day. Funny thing; until recently, I didn't know that Zon has been just the next town over from me (now a little further from what I understand).

I have a Legacy Elite 4, and I have a Legacy Elite 5 on order. I've tried all of Joe's body shapes, and the Legacy is definitely my favorite.
