Are you talking about Centerville Music? I've been in there a few times but never bought anything from there.

Yeah, I think that's what it's called. There's a couple there close to each other. I bought a Babicz 6 string acoustic guitar there for right around $500. They usually go for over $1,000. It was brand new and sounded awesome. The only reason he sold it at that price was because it was sitting on the wall for like 4 months and no one bought it. Everyone wanted the Martins or Taylors but these are just as good if not better than those. They even hooked me up with a new set of Elixirs for it and gave me an upgraded case. The guy liked the way I played and was asking me if I play in the area so he could catch a gig to watch me. I thought that was pretty cool.

They've always been really nice to me when I've been in there. They kind of go out of their way to help you. The reason I went in there to begin with was because they carry G&L and I wanted to try them out.

I was in there the other day looking for strings. Looks like they might be going out of business. Their inventory was way down. As a matter of fact, I didn't see any G&L's hanging on the wall.

Good guys though...

WHAAAAT??? That's crazy! They still sell stuff on ebay because I get emails from them all the time since they're on my favorite seller list. They've got a lot of bass effects on there now.

Don't get me wrong, they're still open, it just looks empty in there compared to what they usually have, so maybe they are just scaling back.

GC is just down the road and so is Willis Music. I prefer to do business with Centerville Music, because Tim is a great guy to work with. I hope they stick around.

Just a shout out that I am still planning on hanging out at the Fifth Avenue Fretshop (Uncletoad's shop) a bit tomorrow afternoon. I'll probably be there about 4:15pm or so.

I'll have some of the review basses for the first issue of Bass Gear Magazine with me (Phil is one of our Technical Editors).

Tom.

Grr.... why can I never have a Friday off... I'll be stuck in misery at work as people stock up for the weekend in fear of the snow. I swear... a weatherman mentions snow and people go all paranoid.... Wish I could be at 5th ave tomorrow... I'd love to show off the Rampage 100w. Nice little practice combo, pretty versatile tonewise.

I might make it out there. It all depends on how late we work but I'll try to make it.

I very much enjoyed meeting you, Cap'n! :) You are one heck of a player, and a super nice guy. Which is a good thing, seeing as how you can crush skulls and all with those big bear paws of yours! ;) :p :D

We had a nice little hang, and Woody, I hope you are feeling better!

Well, likewise there Tom. I appreciate you letting me fall in love with your Skjold 5'er. I told my wife about it and the first words out of her mouth were, "Oh no, now you want another one?" :hyper: I appreciate the compliments too. Although I've never actually crushed a human skull, I have put my fingers through a honey dew. I didn't crush it but I put holes in it, true story.
