Ok i need help

Wat do u guys think of the schecter elite 4?In 2 days i get to go to the guitar center.I was looking at schecter elite 4 but i dont know anything about it..Is it good for $600?I need to know wat u guys think about it and wat r the good things about it and wat r the bad things about it(if it has any). And wat other basses do u recomend for $600?

$600 in a place with a large selection? Spend some time, play as many as are in your range that interest you. If there are some used instruments that interest you, check them out, too(might find a cool deal and save some cash)! No reason to jump quick. This should be a fun process. If nothing stands out, don't despair. Don't feel you MUST buy something that very day. You'll find something somewhere eventually, remember, the buying takes a very short time compared to the hours you'll play the instrument (or suffer with it if you don't like it).

I would buy a used but the only thing is is that my grandma got me a $600 gift card to guitar center.Anyone esle that has alot of info on this guitar wy or wy i shouldnt buy it?O ya and how is the slap tone on it?I play from Metal to jazz to funk.

I picked up a Schecter Stiletto Custom 5 for under $500.00 at GC at their President's sale. For 600.00 I would expect a Hard shell case and new Elixers. If you like the Schecter you might like the Ibanez SR 500 at about the same price.

I am pretty sure GC usually has a big liquidation blowout sale during labor weekend which is just around the corner .

you could save hundreds on something else , maybe even the schecter.

just be there in line before they open to get the best deals

it may be worth the wait .

and do not pay sticker price , offer less , if the bass is 6 bills you should be able to save 10% or more easy which would buy a nice gig bag ETC....

I would wait for the sale.

anyone else ???

I own one and it's really an amazing bass. For the price, they feel like a MUCH more high end instrument than you'd expect at $600.

My only complaint is the extremely thin neck and only a 2 band EQ (no mid control). I like a p bass profile neck and the Schecter is thinner than a Jazz bass. You may love it or hate it, but they really are awesome. I got mine for $400, so definitely talk down the price. See if you can get it for $500 out the door, or $600 with a hard shell case and new strings as said above.

Check out some Highway One Fenders as well. M local GC has had one sitting in there for $490 for a while now because they just want to get rid of it. It's one of the best playing basses I've ever picked up, but I just didn't have the money at the time. I'm sure they'd take $450 for it. Just make sure to haggle, and don't let it burn a hole in your pocket since sales are coming up.
