Larry "The Mole" Taylor!

Oh yeaah

When I was a senior in highschool I wanted to be this guy.

I got a black pbass and slung it as low as I could. At this point I was in a punk band so it made a lot of sense to me. I remember loving Dee Dee's energy and just how badass he looked. Especially with the black pbass with black pickguard.

Then, early college years I got really into Pink Floyd and wanted to be like this guy.

Learning to play Dark Side of the Moon note for note was a turning point in my bassplaying. Despite it's easy-ness to me now, back then I still just played root notes and when I learned some more "bass tricks" it pushed me to want to play different types of music. It didn't hurt that I already had a pbass with black pickguard, I ended up buying an all maple neck to make mine looke even more like Rogers. Funny that Fender eventually released a Waters signature model.

Later college years to now I wanted to be this guy.

My tastes changed to blues based rock music. Around the time Rock Band came out I wasnt very familiar with the Rolling Stones discography. Soon after I joined a band that was straight rock and roll and I got really into the Stones. Since then I became somewhat of a superfan and love they're early stuff as much as the later albums. Being a bassplayer I wanted to be able to swing a walking bassline just like Bill Wyman did in his salad days. I got a Fender Mustang bass and even strapped it like he did. To this day I'm still trying to be as cool as Bill.

like eirik said before, Robert Trujillo, especially in this video:

That bass solo at the beginning followed by his stomping around just give off that bad*** look and vibe... and the tone sends shivers down my spine every time i hear it

Love Tallica' btw, Robs tone is like steel cutting stone, so f-ing sick!
