Getting into playing bass again after many yrs off,learned a bit of theory,but need to learn more
I know major and minor scales and pentatonic,major and minor
Need an easy to understand book or video ,any recommendations?

Without a doubt, the best book out there is Ariane Cap's "Music Theory for the Bass Player". Provides a step by step, systematic and comprehensive approach to teach theory fundamentals that will put the information on scales you already know, in perspective. Simply stated, scales are one piece of the bigger theory puzzle, and her book will bring all the pieces of that puzzle together for you— specifically for the bass player and presented in terms of the fretboard (where it matters most!).

There are cheaper books out there, but you get what you pay for. Check the Amazon reviews where she has 160+ mostly positive reviews and the cheap copycat books have a handful at most. I've used her book and benefitted greatly (or I wouldn't be recommending it). Sorry for the long winded reply... here's a link if you want to check it out:
