Old Kustom amps sound?

Greetings from the North,

Wow Glad to hear you're rocking the Tuck n Roll in 315 cabs no less. Just being nosey, what color are the amp and cabs and what genre of music are you playing?

The one I am talking about is black, I also own another K250 with 3X15"(Altec Lansing full range) in blue. I play psychedelic jam music, my bass is a Lado Super Falcon II. I lend the blue one to my synth player, sounds great as well, we even tried the guitars in it, it takes pedals very well.

Here's the catalog image from the Vintage Kustom site, you can find lots of information at this site:

Wow, rockambo, thanks for that site! I used to collect guitar and bass catalogs as a kid and spent many an hour just staring at those very Kustom pictures! I could stare at a good picture of a layout of Fender amps for a few minutes but a Kustom layout I could lose myself for 15 minutes in! Never did own a Custom but I did end up with a Plush head in high school (always run input to input, like Jeff Beck did in the ads) but it disappeared somehow, somewhere.

BTW, I have no affiliation with them, other than I always stop by when I'm in Baltimore because it's the coolest place, but AtomicMusic near Silver Spring, MD has more old Kustoms in a row than I've ever seen in one place. I go over to their corner and stare at them for a few minutes. Really takes one back :)

There was also a cab that looked like the 3x15, but the top driver was a round 15" horn. The 1x15 and a horn cab was cool for the right application.
