I seriously doubt it, unless it was meant as a joke. I think ours knows how to spell.

Why not order a custom from Wish'y? Save the bother of bidding and maybe we can get a deal since eveyone will be evaluating it and might want one of their own. :p

I definitely think that was our Funky Carnivore playing a joke and misspelling on purpose. Funny. :p

You can count me in for $10. I'd even volunteer to do the funds collecting (paypal, etc.) and do the bidding if we get up enough beans.

Besides, starting the "Tour de Trash" here in Atlanta should have some appeal. I'd like to hear BassMonkee do his tapping thing on it and JT would finally get his (small) hands on one. We'll send it off with WoodChuck to a gig and let JohnL take it to church. If it came here I would also do a setup on it - or as much of one as I could  I would suggest the bass only get sent to guys that pony up the money until each gets to see it, review it, and send it on.

looks like we're up to around the $100 mark.

I feel like I
'm canvasing for public radio...

The things is, I would love to play that thing if we get one.

just brainstorming here but maybe we could take turns shipping it all over the freakin' country ? Or maybe not...

I'm down with Hambone being in charge. We should send a confirmation of our ten dollar bid to a private email addy of his or something so it can be finalized. Set a date to recieve the emails by, a date to recieve the money by, and then have the work started.

Sweet idea! It could be "The TalkBass Wish". I think if this goes thru, a picture of it should be posted on the front page. FOREVER.

PLEASE GOD NOOOOO!!!!

I'll go $10. Boogie's been doing some REALLY great reviews lately, though. Maybe we could send it out to him, get him started with the review, then it could begin it's cross-country trek from there. I would love it to show up in Mobile for the next Bass Summit. And maybe have Gard tote it in at Bass Central one day. :D

now, if anyone reads my posts, which have probably influenced the starting of this thread somehow, you should know that I think this is a great idea. and I say, 'Bout time!

count me in for $20, ill be generous :D

I think a custom would be a great idea, just as long as we let him keep the things that make it a wish, like the headstock, neck, bridge, etc. because if those are changed to our standards too much, the overall result will not be wishy enough to really know the sound and quality of a true wish bass.

Hey JT, this would be a good thread to make sticky. :)

Yeah, it would have to have the slotted headstock and the Budweiser control plate. Should this be fretted or fretless?

well I started the thread and I can say it had nothing to do with your posts ;)

It was actually more my misunderstanding of one of Munji's comments that got me thinking...
