Old guy. Played hard from 1977 to 1992 when my son was born. Packed everything away in the attic and got busy raising a family. Two years ago some youngsters in the church asked my help doing some modern music in our traditional church. Dug my two old remaining battle axes out and rekindled an old love affair..... I grudgingly found my way into the Internet age. Wish we would have had all these gadgets in my day. I read many of these posts and must admit I have no clue what most are referring to. Don't know much of today's lingo. And when I played hard I wasn't one that spent much time worrying with the technical aspects of playing. I played what felt right and sounded fat. The good lord let me live my dream. I toured hard for a dozen years. Shared the stage (and unmentionables) with some top performers of the day and got to hear my music locally on the radio. I am thankful for those memories. Most men don't get to live their dreams. I was a fortunate fellow.... Recently many of the performers I admired have passed and found myself on a journey of the hero's of my day. Found my way here doing a search on the way cool axe played by the Mott the Hoople bass player and have posted a few times where I felt I had some useful insight..... So anyway that's me. It's been a joy to see the youthful exuberance that the young fellows in my church have playing with them and perhaps I can help shed an old mans experience when useful here.
