Old new strings...?

Probably a dumb question, but would I notice any significant loss of brilliance in a new set of strings if they had been sitting (perfectly shrink-wrapped) on a shelf for about 3 years? I'm inclined to think I would, but then again, TB knows more than I do.

The specific strings in question are Dean Markley SR2000's

Don't strings decline due to use? Dust, sweat, oil from human skin etc?

Strings can sit for a long time and still be good. However there are always exceptions.

If kept in a cool place and the packaging is still intact then most likely fine. Sitting in a shop Window for a couple of years packaging cracking from heat exposure, stay away
