Old Rickenbacker Identification needed.

Can anyone identify this Ric. Here's a screenshot I got from a friend asking for help.

That's either a 4000 modified to have a neck pickup or a 4001S with a changed pickguard to accommodate only 2 controls and a pickup selector while simultaneously moving the neck pickup further than the standard 1" from the end of the fingerboard (if this is fall of '75 or later, which i think it is) or 1/2" from the end of the fingerboard (if it is a november-december '72-fall '75, which i do not think it is). I suggest the former (which i have seen quite frequently) rather than the latter (which is something i don't see the point of). The neck pickup looks like a toaster which is not period correct to post-'73, further suggesting the 4000 modification rather than the 4001S modification. That said, the only difference between the 4000 and 4001S during this era was a route, a neck pickup, 2 extra knobs and a switch. Without a clearer picture, the best estimation of a manufacturing date i can give is mid-late '70s. The colour is "azureglo" and is somewhat uncommon. Nice instrument!
