how much is your budget, and do you have any size or wattage expectations ?
I use a Mesa Walkabout 12 combo. 300 very real watts at 4ohms with a tube pre and a sweet old school tone. It has been mentioned more than once here on TB, that the Walkabout can sound very much like a very pumped up Ampeg B15. That's about as old school as you can get.
In any event, it's certainly an option depending on what you are looking for.
