OLP MM parts compatibility.

Hi all. Looking at a pretty beat OLP MM at a pawn shop(missing PG, one busted tuning key). Wanted to know if standard EBMM guards will fit and if the tuners are the same application. Plans are to gut the sucker and put in some good guts, strip/repaint, and play the snot out of it.

I have an OLP but no EBMM parts to compare with, so I can't say about compatibility. Your idea is a good one. A main problem with OLPs (especially the passive ones) is electronics suck. I rewired mine and it came to life. I think they are an excellent modding platform for things in the EBMM style.

I don't think the pickguard will fit, I think the OLP MM2 has seven screw holes, regular EBMM Ray has 9. Also the neck width at the pocket is not going to be the same as the EBMM is wider.
That being said, you can just buy an OLP pickguard for $12 on Amazon.
